UPDATED July 24, 2024
Disney World launched the Genie+ system on October 19th, 2021. This new service replaced the previous FastPass+ system in the parks!
Pricing for Genie+ varies by date, starting at $15 per day, per ticket* at Disney World (*Prices vary by date and by park), and it allows guests to reserve rides to skip the line at, essentially like they did with FastPass+, except you will now enter these attractions using the new Lightning Lanes (which are just the FastPass+ lanes with a new name). We have a complete list of the rides that will be included with the new Genie+ system.
UPDATE: MAJOR Changes have come to the Lightning Lane Systems in Disney World as of July 24th. The previous Disney Genie+ Service is now Lightning Lane Multi Pass. You can find information on the NEW Lightning Lane systems in Disney World HERE.

Learn More About Lightning Lane Multi PassEDITOR’S UPDATE: The remainder of this post covers the previous Disney Genie+ system which was in effect through July 23, 2024. You can CLICK HERE to find all the information you need for Disney World’s current Lightning Lane services.
If you buy Genie+ for your trip (or for select days on your trip), you can make your first Lightning Lane reservation at 7AM on the day of your park visit. You can only reserve ONE attraction at a time through Genie+ unless you wait through a two-hour cooldown (starting when the park opens). So, you can book a second Genie+ reservation after you use the first one, or that cooldown has passed — whichever comes first.
You also cannot re-ride attractions with Genie+, meaning that if you want to go on a certain ride twice, you can only use Genie+ for it once — any other times you’ll have to use the standby line.
Not all of the rides in Disney World are available on Genie+ — Some are part of Individual Attraction Selection — pay-per-ride. This system is for the more popular rides (like Rise of the Resistance). If you want to use the Lightning Lane to skip the line at these rides, you’ll have to pay for each of them separately, and you can only pay for two of these rides per day.

Chimom says
Is there a limit on how many rides you can go on using genie+?
DFB Sarah says
Chimom, not that we have heard. You can book them one at a time throughout the day, and however many you can fit in, you can ride. Disney has noted, however, that users can only selection a return time for each attraction once, so if you want to ride Haunted Mansion a second time, for example, you’ll need to wait in Standby.

These Disney World guides are great! My wife and I went to WDW 4 times and these guides have a huge amount of information that we did not know about. The current updates are very helpful and we want to commend Disney Food Blog for their excellent reviews!
