Disney World has gifted guests with lots of shimmery, glimmery goodies for the 50th anniversary celebration. If you’ve ever wanted to eat glitter, this is your time to shine.
Today we discovered a NEW sparkly 50th Anniversary treat in Disney World and if you like a classic Disney Parks snack made with cinnamon sugar — this might be the one for you.
While we were in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, a shiny new churro caught our eye. The Glimmer and Shimmer Churro has arrived in Disney World! We found it at the snack cart near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway for $7.
It comes with a fun snack wrapper featuring a pattern with the 50th anniversary logo and the four Disney Park icons.
So what is this new churro made of? Well…it’s basically a regular churro topped with vanilla frosting, gold glitter, and sprinkles.
We’ve had some 50th Anniversary churros already — including peanut churros and a sweet version that’ll have your dentist on speed dial. So, just how would this churro hold up against its competition?
Well, for starters, we thought the Glimmer and Shimmer Churro was really pretty! The gold sprinkles are a nice touch and if you catch the sun just right you can see how shimmery this treat is.
In terms of taste…it was delicious! Unlike the Dumbo Churro, the Glimmer and Shimmer Churro we got wasn’t stale. It was nice and fresh, had a great crunch, and was sweet and tasty. If you like churros, we have a feeling you’ll probably like this.
It might not be a Disneyland churro, but it was pretty good and the glitter was a fun touch.

Deborah P says
Did the glitter stay on the churro or did it go everywhere? My husband has an aversion to glitter ever since an unfortunate accident where I dropped a container and it got everywhere.
DFB Sarah says
Deborah P., a glitter explosion can sure cause some problems (my dining room rug agrees). These didn’t have an overwhelming amount of glitter, and it seemed to stay on pretty well. You could give it a good shake before you start munching on it just to cover that base.
