Hello from Magic Kingdom!
We like to check out the Disney World parks frequently to see if anything new is going on, so come with us as we see what’s new in Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Mickey’s PhilharMagic is currently under construction until the new Coco scenes are added!
Walls are up around the entrance to the attraction. It should reopen on November 12th, 2021.
A new banner has been added to the large photo of candy in the Main Street Confectionery. It reads “Who’s the Sweetest of Them All?”
New gold rails have been added around the stage of Cinderella Castle.
Now, let’s get into some merchandise!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
The Emporium
We found the mini Lego Cinderella Castle in The Emporium! It’s part of the 50th anniversary collection. So, you can take Cinderella Castle home with you (but, you have to build it first!).
Three new MagicBands were also in The Emporium. The first is one featuring Frozone from The Incredibles…
…the next is a Lion King band with Simba…
…and the last is a fun green one featuring Figment!
A couple other new things for the 50th in here as well. Check out this awesome Partners Statue ornament! You can get it for $24.99.
We also saw this Mickey light-up keychain with Cinderella Castle inside!
Seems helpful if you lose your keys a lot!
Uptown Jewelers
The Hunchback of Notre Dame dress is now being sold in Uptown Jewelers.
The skirt features characters from the movies in front of a purple stained glass background. You can get it for $128.
Main Street Cinema
The Vault Collection has taken over Main Street Cinema for the 50th and we have seen some new items! First up is this new Starbucks retro tumbler for $24.99.
Then, we have the license plate! We’ve seen this over in Disney Springs, but it’s new to Magic Kingdom. Grab it for $19.99.
There are also stickers of the license plate you can get! So you could have the license plate and the matching sticker on your car.
We found this cute and colorful new thermos for $19.99…
…a retro fan for $12.99…
…and some awesome pennant flags for $14.99.
This retro-inspired line is making us feel nostalgic!
Pirates Bazaar
We saw new Coco socks that are gray, black, and white and show characters from the Pixar film! We think they’re just spooky enough for the season.
The Jack Skellington jewelry we found at Hollywood Studios recently has also made its way over here. There is a necklace…
…as well as earrings.
The Master of Fright makes some pretty snazzy jewelry, if we do say so ourselves.
Frontier Trading
There are 3 new Haunted Mansion Funko pins being sold in Frontier Trading featuring the Hitchhiking Ghosts! Here’s Ezra…
…Gus…
…and Phineas!
Perfect for spooky season! They’re $34.99 each.
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
The Disney Cinderella Castle key ornament has been restocked in the Christmas Shoppe!
We love the little Mickey cut out.
Fantasy Faire
The kids Villains ‘Up to No Good’ shirt has been restocked in Fantasy Faire.
And, it’s glow in the dark, so you’ll be able to see if your kid is up to no good even in the dark!
Star Traders
In Star Traders, we spotted a new Maleficent spirit jersey. It’s purple with neon green text across the back that says Walt Disney World.
It also features Maleficent as a dragon!
We love seeing merch that honors the Mistress of Evil.
Magic Kingdom Additional Updates
Over at the Transportation and Ticket Center, we got a look at the upper-level stairs and ramp for the ferry boats to Magic Kingdom.
Cast Members said they would only use it during busy days or when the Monorail goes down and more people have to take the ferry.
And finally, we wanted to show you this amazing comparison of Cinderella Castle now vs. Cinderella Castle 50 years ago in 1971!
It’s so cool to see how it’s changed, yet still remains the castle we know and love.
That’s everything new at Magic Kingdom! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates.
