When it comes to Marvel, we know many fans are REALLY excited for everything debuting in the parks and on the big screen. Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s debut is just around the corner, while brand new characters have made their way to Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure.
But, recently some major changes have been made when it comes to Marvel’s upcoming film schedule.
Deadline has revealed that Disney has shifted its Marvel movie theatrical release dates through 2023. While Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was supposed to kick off Spring Break on March 25th, 2022, it has been moved to May 6th, 2022 instead.
The upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder will be moving to July 8th, 2022 (previously set for May 6th, 2022, according to Variety), and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will shift to November 11th, 2022 (previously set for July 8th, 2022).
The Marvels has also had its release date delayed. The release has been moved from November 11th, 2022 to February 17th, 2023.
After that, we will be able to dive into the Quantum Realm with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on July 28th, 2023 (previously set to be released on February 17th, 2023 according to Variety).
Currently, the only named Marvel film that has kept its release date according to its original schedule is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. That movie will play in theaters on May 5th, 2023.
There are also a few unnamed Marvel movies that are in production. One of these has been moved from a November 10th, 2023 debut up to November 3rd, 2023, while another than was set for October 6th, 2023 is no longer on the schedule.
Additionally, an untitled live action Disney movie that was set to be released on July 14th, 2023 and an untitled 20th Century Studios movie set for release in October of 2023 have been removed from the schedule.
Finally, the Indiana Jones sequel which was set to be released on July 29th, 2022, is now set to be released on June 30th, 2023.
