The DisneyWorld 50th Anniversary collection of souvenir items showed a genuine Lack of Imagination from the company who is supposed to be the Imagination Specialists!!!! Most of the items are up fly or just Plain. There is/or was (We were there for the Anniversary.Celebration). Ungodly long lines for merchandise, All of the 50th Anniversary items were in the “Big Top” Behind FantasyLand. It was utter chaos, horribly mismanaged or maybe UNmanaged. For a company that has always seemed to “do it right”, They Really Screwed It Up This Time!!! I am a Long time Disney Fan, Own Stock, Own DVC, Annual Passholder, Frequent Visitor and This Vacation I Was Extremely Disappointed with the Way they handled things!!! Maybe the “new Bob” Needs to be Replaced!!!!!

Hi, is there any way I can purchase the Walt Disney 50th Anniversary Gold Ears Mickey hat? I’m not planning a trip to Walt Disney World because I live in San Diego. I have Ear hats from Disneyland on all special occasions. I’ve been to Disneyland ever since 1956. I’m a lover of Mickey!!
Please let me know,
Thank you
Mary Parsons
DFB Sarah says
Mary, you’ll want to keep checking shopDisney to see if they add it there.
Tina says
It’s a shame that most of the 50th anniversary items that park guests want are unavailable to ordinary park guests. However, re-sellers seem to have a lot of the merchandise at crazy prices! Like Disney prices aren’t crazy enough. Maybe if these items were made in USA instead of China, there would not be such a shortage.
And like someone else commented about the lack of imagination, I agree. It’s the 50th anniversary and its like Disney sent the imagineers home and let the interns plan the whole celebration. That’s why we were disappointed in the items available – there are not that many items that we liked and those are the ones that remain out of stock. We have our little souvenirs and we are happy with our trip. We don’t go to Disney for “stuff” anyway. So, until next trip…..

I am looking for the Starbucks ceramic Christmas “to go” hot coffee mug with lid in both a real drinkable take along mug and the matching Christmas ornament. Do you know where I can get these items?
DFB Sarah says
Brenda, if you’re talking about this blue sweatshirt from the Celebration Collection, we have seen it at Emporium in Magic Kingdom.
Irene says

Looking for the 50th anniversary Christmas ball. Can’t seem to find it online and didn’t see anything on Epcot for the 50th. Can’t even seem to order anything online either.
Holly Knuth says
Is there a poster for 50th anniversary? I have one from the 25th anniversary!! If so where can I get it?
Melissa says
Have been watching for the blue 50th anniversary crocs. Women’s size 9. Any idea when they will be back in stock? They were on the shop disney website for a few days in the beginning of October but I haven’t seen them since.
DFB Sarah says
Melissa, no word from Disney on this. Hopefully they’ll be restocked online.
Ace says
At Disney right now and all I can say is good like finding 50th anniversary stuff. Very very limited everywhere . Poor management !
IRiver says
The Stitch Crashes Disney Peter Pan pin. Does anyone know if they are all matte rather than a glossy shine like all the others have been. I purchased one on eBay, which I don’t normally do, because I wasn’t able to go to Disney to get one. It came and it looks real, but the face of it is matte not glossy/shiny like all my other ones in the collection.
DFB Gigi says
Hi IRiver,
We did a post on the Stitch Crashes Peter Pan pin that you can find by clicking here! This is a picture of the official Disney pin that we found in the store. I hope this helps!
Samantha Wilson says
When things are sold out you’ve said they’re sold out online. Are they also sold out in the parks?? I am going in a couple weeks for my birthday and allotted 75 to get myself the new spirit jersey! Thanks for the help!
Julie Colbert says
I was there a couple weeks ago and bought the 50th anniversary track jacket with gold 50th logo, and now I’m kicking myself for not getting the pants. I don’t see them shown available to order online, but there is a photo of it on your website. Is there anyway to order them?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Julie! Without physically going to the parks I’m afraid there’s no other way to purchase those once they’re sold out on ShopDisney. The only ones showing up online are the blue joggers. We update as often as we find 50th merchandise is back online, so keep checking back and hopefully it’s one they’ll have back on the site, but there’s no guarantee.
Jeanne says
Why doesn’t Disney have larger sizes? I was there 3 weeks ago and found the ringer t-shirt with the 50th logo. I wanted to buy enough shirts for my family, but the largest shirt size stocked was 2XL which meant I could buy the shirts. At least two family members needed 3XL or 4XL. Disney needs to look at the guests and figure out that a lot of guests need shirts bigger than 2XL.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Jeanne. That is certainly frustrating. I have found a few 3X shirts for my husband, mostly in Galaxy’s Edge and once I even found a 4X at Windtraders in Animal Kingdom. Definitely check those out next time you’re there. There’s no guarantee, but that’s where I’ve been able to find them.
