Disney World’s 50th anniversary is going strong, with the celebrations kicking off just over 3 weeks ago!
We’ve seen a new cavalcade, an incredible new show in Animal Kingdom, tried new restaurants, and more. And, we’ve tasted SO MANY new food items exclusive for the 50th! From chocolate pyramids to funnel cake hot dogs (yeah, really!), we’ve had some pretty epic food adventures lately. But, we’re not done yet, because there are even more treats to try! Come with us as we check out a new 50th dessert over in Disney Springs.
This is the 1971 Brownie from Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC!
It’s a chocolate brownie covered in a colorful blue and purple icing with a 50 written in yellow icing on the top. And, it’s gluten free and vegan, like all of the treats at Erin McKenna’s.
The brownie was very fluffy and much lighter than it appears. The icing is also light and has a texture more like coconut oil than traditional icing.
While this was good, it did taste more like we were eating a “heathy” dessert. So, if you’re looking for something more traditional to satisfy you sweet tooth, you’ll probably want to try a different treat.
But, if you have dietary restrictions or if you want a dessert that’s not heavy, this is a good option! Also, it’ll look great on your Instagram, because those colors are so pretty!
If you want to try it for yourself, you can grab it for $8 over at Erin McKenna’s in The Landing at Disney Springs. Stay tuned to DFB for more 50th anniversary food news and reviews!
