MagicBands may not be free for Disney World Resort hotel guests or Annual Passholders anymore, but there are still LOTS of MagicBands that can be purchased!

We’ve seen MagicBands featuring retro Disney designs, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and more. Now, select guests have the chance to get 2 fun MagicBand designs at a discount!
If you’ll be staying at a Disney World Resort hotel in the future or you are an Annual Passholder, you can oftentimes order special MagicBands at a pre-arrival discount. Right now, we’ve spotted 2 NEW designs hotel guests and passholders can order.
First, it’s time to soar around the world with the fun Soarin’ MagicBand! The band is a deep blue color and features the Soarin’ logo on one side, just above Mickey dressed as a pilot (you gotta love Mickey’s outfit).

On the other side of the MagicBand, you’ll see some colors soaring through the sky and a phrase, which we assume states in full “We Are Cleared For Takeoff!”

The MagicBand has a comparable value of $34.99, but hotel guests and Annual Passholders can get it right now for $20.
But wait, there’s more! Right now, a special Disney Vacation Club MagicBand is also available at a discounted pre-order price. The MagicBand features Mickey lounging on the Disney Vacation Club Member Logo, with icons from the DVC resorts scattered throughout.

If you are eligible to pick up this MagicBand, you could get it at the special pre-order price of $25, rather than its comparable value of $34.99.
Just keep in mind that these MagicBands are only available at this discount for Annual Passholders and Disney World Resort Hotel guests. Do you know if there is any way to purchase these magic bands if you are not staying at a Disney resort? My boyfriend is an airline pilot and our December trip will be his first time back to Disney since he was a little kid. The soarin’ magic band is perfect for him and I would love to get it for him as a gift if I can find it somewhere. I found the vacation club one or something that looks very similar to it on shop Disney but I am unable to find the soarin’ one. I am not sure if the soarin’ one will be able to be purchased aside from as a resort guest. If you have any advice on how I can get my hands on that magic band I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
Nicolette, I double checked online and asked one of our onsite reporters, and the only way it looks like you can get one is by being a Resort guest and/or an Annual Passholder. There may be third party sites that resell them online, but I don’t have information on those. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
