Holiday overlays are one of our favorite parts of the season in Disney World! And, we couldn’t be more excited that the parks will be bringing them back to multiple attractions during the day and for Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours this year!
In the past, we’ve seen holiday overlays at Tomorrowland Speedway, Jungle Cruise (AKA Jingle Cruise), Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, and beyond. While we’ve already seen holiday decorations sweep across the parks, it looks like one of our first attraction overlays is in progress too!
Disney announced that Living with the Land would be bringing its annual holiday overlay back again this year. And, even though October hasn’t even ended yet, the attraction is already getting in the Christmas spirit! When guests hop onto the boat, they’ll be able to see Christmas lights wrapped around the poles and tunnel throughout the ride.
At night, the decorations will be even more special as they are illuminated to turn Living with the Land into a beautiful Christmas-inspired boat ride. And we even spotted some lights on the Mickey-shaped plants as we passed by!
👀 Look closely! Lights have been added to Mickey’s ears too! pic.twitter.com/RxavVMntqX

Note that these might not be lit up until installation is completed.
After the attraction completes its decorations, you’ll be able to see “twinkling holiday light displays throughout the greenhouses” that will make this underrated EPCOT attraction all the better. Here’s what it looks like when it’s all lit up.
We’ll be sure to give you a look at even more holiday decorations and overlays as they arrive in Disney World. In the meantime, though, stay tuned with DFB for the latest Disney entertainment and news!

This is another misleading story title. If the glow-up had started, the lights would be on for guests. Installation occurring doesn’t correlate to “The Land holiday glow-up has started”.

Don’t recall the land attraction ever being dressed for the holiday season,… is this something new?
DFB Sarah says
Hi, Ken! I believe 2019 was the first year they added this overlay to Living with the Land.
Jo says
Love this! Living with the Land is a fam fav. So excited to see it lit up this year!
