Today’s a special day because Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is welcoming guests back again! And, we can practically taste the beignets already!
The Riverside area of Port Orleans has already reopened for guests to enjoy. But, now that French Quarter is open, everyone can explore both sides of the resort again. So come along with us as we give you a full look at Disney’s newly reopened Port Orleans French Quarter!
When we first arrived to Port Orleans French Quarter, we were greeted by a red carpet!
Cast Members were out on the red carpet as well to welcome guests back!
Then, we headed inside to take a look around at the reopened hotel.
Here’s where you go if you’re a guest checking in.
The registration area is pretty big, with high ceilings and large columns framing the check-in desks.
There’s a few seating areas in here as well.
Off of this area is also the merchandise store inside the hotel, Jackson Square. They were celebrating the reopening with some fun balloons!
In here you can get some typical Disney World gear…
…as well as resort-specific items.
There are some Riverside items in here as well!
And, up at the register, we saw the most adorable Minnie Mouse all decked out in Mardi Gras attire!
Now, let’s move on to see what food is back at the hotel! Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is open from 7AM to 11PM serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In the middle of the dining area is the condiments station, which is made to look like a Mardi Gras float!
Around the corner, you’ll find the different stations you can order food from.
There is also a bakery case over here with some delicious looking treats, including a mini Mardi Gras King Cake!
Then, we went to see what else is open! And, even though the hours listed online say Scat Cat’s Club doesn’t open until 5PM, it was open this morning (probably because it’s the grand re-opening of the hotel!).

Yep! Mickey beignets are BACK! We’ve been missing them soooo much, so of course, we had to grab some.
Oh, Mickey-shaped beignets. How we missed you. 💙 pic.twitter.com/YNbVA8IjA7

We also got the Baton Rouge Beignets, which come with your choice of Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlúa, or RumChata in a little pipette so you can infuse your beignet and make it boozy! We went with Bailey’s Irish Cream.
Then, we just couldn’t resist also getting a Mickey-shaped Beignet Sundae! It may be morning, but it’s never too early for ice cream, right?
Also, it was raining and dreary out this morning, so we had to get some ice cream to lift our spirits.
