You may have forgotten to turn your calendar to November this morning, but Disney World sure didn’t because the holidays are HERE!
Disney transformed the parks overnight, installing the iconic GIANT Christmas tree in Magic Kingdom and decking out the rest of Main Street, U.S.A. But, it’s not just the parks that get a jolly makeover for the season — the Disney Resorts are getting in on the action too! We stopped by Disney’s Beach Club Resort this morning to watch the life-sized carousel start to take shape and while we were there we couldn’t resist trying a treat or two…or FOUR.
If you’ve been following DFB for a few years now, you probably know that we’ve been a BIG fan of Oreo Bon Bons, no matter where they show up at Disney World. And, you never know exactly where you’re going to find them — they were once served at Cape May Cafe, then they made their way to Beach Club Marketplace, and last year they arrived at The Market at Ale & Compass in Disney’s Yacht Club with a holiday twist.
So, where have they ended up in 2021? They’re BACK at the Beach Club Marketplace AND The Market at Ale & Compass sporting their best red and green! Last year they were known as Holiday Red and Green Oreo Bonbons but this year they’ve taken on their simpler name — Oreo Bon Bons — and can be found in the freezer section of the market.
Not too much has changed about these returning treats (and we’re certainly not complaining about that!). The Cookies and Cream mousse-filled bonbons are placed on an Oreo cookie base with a little touch of chocolate frosting and sprinkles on top. The only big differences to note are that chocolate frosting has replaced chocolate ganache and the mousse was described as “Oreo Cookie” last year, but the ingredients are exactly the same according to the labels.
So, are these still the same bon bons that we’ve been dreaming about ever since our last bite? We’re happy to report that they still are a Disney staple! They pack a BIG Oreo punch, but they’re not as sweet as you might expect. And, because they’re served cold from the fridge, they’ve got a lighter texture and bite.
All in all, we’re SO happy to see this cute holiday treat back at The Market at Ale & Compass and Beach Club Marketplace. And, for the price of $6.49Â you’ll be getting FOUR, which is a great value for Disney and makes it easy to share (if you’re willing to part with one, that is). They will only be around until December 31st, though, so be sure to head on over and reunite with the sweet treats before that date! And, stay tuned to DFB for more details on the latest holiday treats arriving in the parks and resorts!

GREAT that they are back!
It would be nice if they were at Cape May, but won’t hold my breath on that. Putting them on a buffet has obvious problems.
