A Disney World vacation can be expensive, which is why we’re constantly searching for discounts and deals that could help you save BIG during your time there.
We’ve already shared details about discounts that select guests can take advantage of discounts this holiday season, but now we’ve got news about a special discount some guests can use to save BIG during 2022!
Annual Passholders, if you’re planning a trip to Disney World during early 2022 there’s a special deal you need to know about!
Annual Passholders can now save up to 25% on hotel rooms at select Disney World resort hotels for stays most nights from January 2nd, 2022 through March 10th, 2022.
Just how much of a discount you’ll be able to get depends on when you plan to visit and what hotel you plan to stay at. You can see select rooms at places like Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and other hotels could be up to 25% off for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 2nd through February 24th, 2022, and most nights from February 27th through March 10th, 2022.
Different discount levels apply for other hotels.
There are also some special terms and conditions that apply. For example, the Annual Passholder must present a valid Disney World pass at check-in and the number of rooms available at this discounted rate is limited.
But, if you’re looking to book a stay at Disney World during early 2022, this could help you save a significant amount on your hotel.

Do you expect that discounts will eventually be released for Jan 2022 stays for non-passholders? Or is this probably all we’ll see for early 2022?
DFB Sarah says
Emily, we really just have to wait and see, unfortunately.

Compared to what Passholder Specials were in the past, this isn’t “all that special”, particularly for what is typically Disney’s absolute slowest time! Granted, I did save some money on my Jan/Feb Coronado Springs reservation, but in the past the Passholder Specials didn’t seem to be “resort dependent” & I KNOW the specials for the Moderates were better than 20% — I’m accustomed to 30%-35% off for Passholders for the WINTER special, & 25%-30% for everyone else.
All-in-all, the vast majority of the changes I’ve seen at WDW have been for the worse… & by that I mean that virtually EVERYTHING has changed for the worse! It seems that WDW is trying to recoup ALL the money that they lost back in the spring & early summer of 2020 IMMEDIATELY, but as we all know, like with Governments, very few things revert to an “old NORMAL” once a “NEW Normal” has been established at WDW!!! At the rate that things are going, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see WDW revert to their ORIGINAL format of charging for every single ride with A, B, C, D, & E Tickets!

We have had reservations for the month of January for several months. We were anxiously awaiting the release of the Passholder special so we would not have to pay rack rate. Unfortunately, by 7:30 am CST, there were no special rates available at Pop Century. All gone……

Why does Disney never offer discounts on fort wilderness rv resort, since the nightly rate is more than some of the hotels?
Doug says
If we already have a stay booked in that time frame, and become passholders before arriving, can we apply the discount, or is it too late?
DFB Sarah says
Doug, you can try calling Disney to see if they’ll apply the discount. I don’t know if they can ALWAYS do it, but I do know folks often add discounts (or have Disney rebook WITH the discount so they don’t lose their plans).
