It’s officially the holiday season in Disney World, because tonight is the first Very Merriest After Hours event!
This is a separately ticketed event held in Magic Kingdom on select nights from now until December 21st. The event includes Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the new Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories stage show, and so much more! We’re live from the party checking everything out, including all of the party exclusive treats, so come with us as we try out a special new churro!
Say seasons greetings to the Orange Bird Churro! We found this at the churro cart in Magic Kingdom, in front of Cinderella Castle in The Hub! It’s a churro drizzled with citrus-marshmallow cream and topped with orange candy slices for $7.
This treat is exclusive to the Disney Very Merriest After Hours event, you can’t get it during normal park hours. In fact, Cast Members wouldn’t even sell us the churro until the party started at 9PM!

This churro was really good! You wouldn’t necessarily think of orange as a typical holiday flavor, but there is a tradition of putting an orange in the bottom of Christmas stockings.
The orange flavor was actually super refreshing — it’s a nice change of pace from some of the other holiday treats we’ve had lately like Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate or Oreo Bon Bons!
Also, the orange candies are just delightful!
If you’re looking for a holiday treat that isn’t too heavy and has a refreshing citrus flavor, these are for you! Stay tuned to DFB for more on the exclusive treats at Disney Very Merriest After Hours event.
