With the holidays coming up, there are many special offerings to look forward to at Disney World.
Festival of the Holidays will start in EPCOT on November 26th, with the Candlelight Processional taking place and the Holiday Kitchens opening up, the Disney Very Merriest Nights After Hours event will continue to take place on select nights through December 21st, and new festive food will be offered all around the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs. And, we just learned about a new event happening this month at a closed EPCOT restaurant!
Takumi-Tei in EPCOT’s Japan pavilion will be reopening soon for a special event!
The restaurant will host a Whisky Blending Event featuring Kaiyo Japanese Mizunara Oak Whisky on Friday, November 26th and Saturday, November 27th, 2021 at 2PM.
Takumi-Tei wrote on Instagram that the event will be a full sensory experience with Kaiyo Whisky’s Master Blender, Mr. Jeffrey Karlovitch. There will be a 40-minute seminar on the history of Japanese whisky and Kaiyo’s background. Then, guests can participate in an interactive blending process to create their own customized whisky.
After the blending, guests will enjoy an exclusive 5-course menu inspired by the pairings with specific Kaiyo whiskey blends that highlight the flavors of each course, prepared by the chef at Takumi-Tei.
A reservation for the event is required, and you can make reservations through the link Takumi-Tei provided on Instagram. A theme park reservation and theme park admission are also required to attend the event.
Note that Takumi-Tei is NOT reopening for regular operation — only for this special event. The restaurant has been closed since the parks shut down for the global pandemic. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney event news and updates!
