Christmas trees have appeared, Disney World’s NEW holiday After Hours event has started, and holiday snacks are available to grab in the parks — the holidays truly have arrived in Disney World!
We’ve already seen holiday decorations go up in the parks and a few hotels, but today we saw that 2 popular Disney World spots have received a holiday makeover!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has had its GIANT gingerbread house up for a few days now, but one thing was missing from the Grand…its Christmas tree! Today, we stopped by the resort and were happy to see that the gorgeous and immense Christmas tree has arrived in the Grand’s lobby.
The tree is basically impossible hard to miss.
It’s massive in size and covered in some of the most gorgeous ornaments!
Take a close look at those ornaments then next time you visit.

The Grand’s Christmas tree is by far one of the most iconic hotel trees in all of Disney World.
But, the big tree in the lobby isn’t the only holiday decor you’ll find at this resort. There are also some trees on the upper level of the lobby area…
…some beautiful wreaths…
…garland on the staircases…
…and more.
If you’ve never seen the Grand Floridian all decked out for the holidays, it’s worth it to stop by this resort and check out all of its beautiful decorations.

Some of the trees also had a sweet little touch — ornaments of crayons on them!
There were also garlands inside…
…and outside…
…as well as wreaths in the lobby area.
But, if you’re looking for a BIG Christmas tree at the Contemporary, you’ll have to head outside!
At the front of the Contemporary Resort, you’ll find a GIANT tree!
It’s covered in large, colorful ornaments.
While this tree is impressive during the day, it truly shines at night.
And that’s a look at 2 of the most iconic Disney World hotels and their holiday decor.

This isn’t even a competition each year unless it is for second place. The Grand Floridian is in a different league and sets the benchmark that no other resort even comes close to.

The Grand hands down!!

Do you guys know how long holiday decorations stay up for? We are locals…made reservations for lunch at the grand Floridian on the 2nd in hopes of still seeing everything!
DFB Sarah says
Linda, Disney announced an end date of January 1 for the Gingerbread House at Grand Floridian (but no end date for general decor). It’s possible you may see it on the 2nd, though the treats they sell from the house may be unavailable, and the house may already be in a state of deconstruction. Hopefully you’ll get to see the decor in all its grandeur!
