There’s lots to see and do in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, from the ever-popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance to all of the fun rides in Toy Story land.
There are also some great spots to shop throughout the park, including the stores on Sunset Boulevard and those in Galaxy’s Edge. But, if you’re hoping to stop by one Hollywood Studios shop in the near future, you may be out of luck.
Earlier today, we stopped by Beverly Sunset Boutique — a store located on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and found that the store was CLOSED.
We had also seen that the store was closed during a prior visit a few days ago.
The store had actually been closed for quite some time in 2020 and 2021, but reopened earlier this year. We had seen the store open just a few weeks ago, in early November. So, we went to speak with a Cast Member to see what was going on.
According to the Cast Member we spoke to, they are low in stock on items and simply don’t have enough merchandise to put in the store. The Cast Member said that the store is closed temporarily at the moment, but it will hopefully be back open in a couple of months. So, it could be quite some time before you step in this store again.
While we were around the store, we noticed that none of the doors had “temporarily closed” signs on them, or anything of the like. Instead, we just noticed some Cast Members standing outside the middle door to speak with guests. We also saw some Cast Members going back and forth around the store.
We also noticed that the My Disney Experience app notes that the store is closed.
Of course, the situation is subject to change, but it appears that a stock issue has caused this store’s temporarily closure for the moment. In the meantime, you can head to the other stores in Hollywood Studios for all your shopping needs. We’ll keep an eye out for more details and we’ll let you know what we find.

This is no surprise. on our recent visit in Oct. my wife and I noticed the lack of merchandise and selection in many WDW stores. We spoke with a store manager who told us delays in shipping have impacted store stock. He was hopeful it would change in a few months.

I sincerely hope the pandemic has taught the CEOs and marketing executives a lesson a global economics and supply chain… don’t rely so heavily on a single source for products, in nearly every case, China. Single point of failure?? This isn’t just affecting Disney, but the entire global economy. Try to find an item not made in China in the Disney parks and resorts. There may be some exceptions at EPCOT. Needless to say, it’s very hard to feel sorry for fortune 500 companies, of course Disney is right there near the top, who are “suffering” from shortages and the consumer is paying the price. My wife and I have now gotten into the habit of checking for where the product was made. Whenever possible, we purchase USA, Canada, Mexico and EU made products.
