Hey there, DFB fam! We’re back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with some new updates.
We’ve got some new merchandise and some changes in the park, so let’s get right into it!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Riverside Depot
At Riverside Depot, there were two new MagicBands for $29.99 each! This one is red with vintage Mickey Mouse cartoon details.
And Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast is on the other MagicBand, inviting you to “Be Our Guest.” Can you spot the Grey Stuff?
Discovery Trading
And at Discovery Trading, there was a new Stitch Cardholder, perfect to put in your park bag.
Yak & Yeti Bhaktapur Market
The Yak and Yeti shop had a new Sloth Hand Warmer. From the outside, it just looks like a typical stuffed animal…
…but from the side, there’s a little pouch to keep your hands warm on those cold Florida mornings!
It’s so weird and random and we love it!
Creature Comforts
Creature Comforts (aka the Starbucks location in Animal Kingdom) had a new Starbucks 50th Anniversary Tumbler, featuring a black lid and straw, a sparkly black and gold ombre pattern, and the Disney World 50th logo in gold.
It’ll cost you a pretty penny at $49.99, and it’s also been spotted at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom!
See more photos of the 50th Anniversary Starbucks Tumbler here!
Discovery Trading
The newest Alex & Ani Holiday Bracelet features Disney snacks dressed up for the holidays! Along with a Mickey Bar wearing a Santa hat and a Mickey-shaped cookie, a third charm says, “Dreaming of a sweet Christmas.” You can get it for $59.99.
We also found a 12 days of Christmas Charm Bracelet for $34.99. This bracelet lets you add a charm a day for 12 days!
The 12 different charms are all Disney and holiday-themed, and you get 1 chain bracelet along with all 12 metal charms to add.
Throughout Animal Kingdom we noticed that Halloween merchandise was still on display in many different stores, with no markdowns yet.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for the Halloween items to go on sale!
Animal Kingdom Various Updates
There’s a new PhotoPass Capture Your Moment with an animal lantern as a prop for guests.
You can check out this sweet baby gorilla on the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail!
The Merry Menagerie holiday puppets are back in Animal Kingdom! We got to hang out with some polar bears in front of the Tree of Life, and we’ll be watching out for the other animals to make their appearances.
You can find these puppets hanging around Discovery Island during the holidays.

And on November 12th, Disney celebrated Disney+ Day! At Animal Kingdom, Cast Members were handing out free Disney+ Day hats and buttons.
This celebration was only for November 12th, and Disney+ subscribers were even able to enter Disney Parks 30 minutes prior to opening.

Katharine Vesel says
Do you know when the Merry Menagerie will stop? We are planning a trip in late Jan/early Feb.
DFB Sarah says
Katharine, I don’t think Disney has announced an end date, but typically holiday events/decor are ended/removed in early January.
