Whether you’re heading into the parks soon or just like to keep up with all things Disney World, we’ve got a lot of updates for you today.
We’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check out a LOT of new merchandise, some updates with construction and character meet-and-greets, and the REAL reason that one gift shop is still closed in this park.
We’ll start out with all the new souvenirs that you can find in the various gift shops inside Hollywood Studios.
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Update
Get ready, because we found lots of new merchandise, including some that celebrate an obscure Star Wars holiday, matching spirit jerseys for you and your dog, and more 50th Anniversary items.
Keystone Clothiers
Keystone Clothiers often has the latest Star Wars and Marvel merchandise, so this is a good place to visit if you’re a big fan of Jedis and superheroes.
There’s a whole collection of Star Wars holiday merchandise that we’ve taken a look at already…
…but recently we found a NEW item in this collection that we’re just a little obsessed with. It’s a Chewbacca Wookiee Cookie Loungefly Purse!
The purse is a cookie version of Chewbacca that opens and holds all your Disney parks essentials.
It has an adjustable shoulder strap as well, and it costs $70.
We also saw a new Avengers sweatsuit, which has a double-layered sweatshirt for $59.99…
…and button-up pants for $44.99.
Yesterday — November 17th — was Life Day. This is a traditional Wookiee holiday in Star Wars that celebrates family and galactic unity. We already saw some merchandise online, but there were plenty of items available in the parks as well. We saw a men’s t-shirt with a Wookiee in traditional robes, holding a Life Day orb.
This tee is available for $36.99.
There’s also a women’s t-shirt with the same design.
The women’s tee is also $36.99.
You can get a Life Day orb like the one the Wookiee is holding for $19.99.
It even lights up, so your new souvenir can double as a nightlight!
There’s a mug that looks like a Life Day orb as well, which is available for $19.99.
If you’re looking for a more subtle souvenir, we found a Life Day patch for $9.99…
…and a pin for $19.99.
Or you can get a Chewbacca plush, who’s dressed in red robes and holding a plush orb.
The Chewie plush is $24.99. And since the holidays are coming up soon, you can also get a Life Day ornament, which is available for $22.99.
All of these items were at Keystone Clothiers, but you can also get them over at Batuu Marketplace in Galaxy’s Edge.
Celebrity 5 & 10
Next, we hopped over to Celebrity 5 & 10 to check out the new 50th Anniversary items. This is where you’ll find the Vault collection as well, which has vintage-style souvenirs from Disney World.
We found a new 50th Anniversary pen here for $34.99.
The pen has 50th designs of the Cinderella Castle and a gold Mickey head on the top.
The Disney World 50th Anniversary Coloring books are also available here, for $15.99 each.
We’ve seen this book online already, but now you can get it in the parks. It has more than 100 detailed coloring pages.
There was also some non-50th merchandise, like this new Spirit Jersey for dogs!
The jersey is dark green with a super soft fabric that has Mickey patterns on it. You can get one for your pup for $39.99. (And stay tuned, because we also found a matching one for you!)
Legends of Hollywood
Legends of Hollywood is where you’ll find some fancier souvenirs in Hollywood Studios, like the new “cozy” collection we spotted last week.
This time, we found a new-to-us Pandora charm for $75.
The charm is rose gold and has a cutout of Walt Disney holding hands with Mickey Mouse, like the Partners statue in Magic Kingdom.
Rock Around the Shop
After you ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, you’ll walk through this gift shop on your way out. You can also head in without riding the coaster if you just want to take a look at some unique merchandise.
Inside, we found some new-to-us Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster leggings, which you can get for $39.99.
They have a mottled black pattern with a big gold design on the side.
We also found a new area where you can design your own Disney-themed tech accessories like an Apple watch band or phone case.
Finally, we also spotted the human version of the Green Spirit Jersey that we found earlier for dogs.
This jersey is $84.99.
It is dark green with a super soft fleece fabric on the bottom half and Mickey face designs.
Other Gift Shops
We hit a few more shops on our trip around this park to find even MORE new souvenirs. At Tatooine Traders (located by the Star Tours attraction), we spotted a fun Star Wars hat.
This hat has Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader embroidered on the front with droids on one side…
…and a stormtrooper on the other. It’s available for $39.99.
The Majestic Theater on Sunset Boulevard had a new lounge set themed after Marie from Disney’s Aristocats.
The set has a long-sleeve sweatshirt with a Marie decal embroidered on the front.
This top is $39.99.
The matching shorts have more Marie designs along the bottom.
They’ll cost you $36.99.
And at Disney & Co. on Hollywood Boulevard, we saw a new kids’ Toy Story shirt featuring Buzz Lightyear.
Buzz seems to be stuck in Spanish mode again (like he was in Toy Story 3)! You can get the kids’ shirt for $19.99.
Hollywood Studios Construction Update
The giant guitar over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was covered by scaffolding for a while…
…but it’s now uncovered and looking shinier than ever.
The refurbishment was likely just for paint touch-ups and routine cleaning.
Other Hollywood Studios Updates
We went over to the Tower of Terror attraction and found a couple of friends waiting for us there!
Goofy and Max were both up on the balcony waving hello to guests.
This is a good spot to see Goofy, or you can head over to Echo Lake (by Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction) where he can sometimes be found fishing with Max.
We also stayed late to see the NEW holiday projections on Tower of Terror!
At 6:30PM, the Beacon of Magic plays, and it’s followed by projections of Olaf, Toy Story, the Muppets, and some classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse.
During the last scene, “snow” (or “snoap” as we like to call it) falls from the sky and continues to fall for about 15 minutes.
The show repeats every 15 minutes or so.
On our trip around Hollywood Studios, there was one gift shop we couldn’t visit: Beverly Sunset Boutique was closed, with curtains up in the windows.
We asked a nearby Cast Member about its closure, and we were told that there simply wasn’t enough merchandise to stock the store right now. Disney has been low on some merchandise for a while now, likely due to the supply chain issues that resulted from the pandemic.
The Cast Member told us that they were expecting Beverly Sunset Boutique to reopen in a couple of months, once more merchandise arrived.
That’s it for our Hollywood Studios updates! Keep following DFB for more tips and news as you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World.

I was at DHS in mid-October and that store was open with its usual Pixar merch inside. I was so excited to see it open! I find it very weird that it is closed again! If that is the one beside Brown Derby, then it was definitely open on October 20th.

the stores at the studios now are awful, and so many are shuttered, no more indiana jones store, no more christmas shop, no more art of disney/muppets, still lamenting the loss of writers stop…they have downsized this park so much in terms of merch locations, it use to have great little locations here and there and its just disney being cheap. its so pathetic now its really is a shame.
