Character meet-and-greets have looked a bit different since the parks reopened after the pandemic closures.
Right now, you can see some characters at a distance in select spots. Recently, more character meet-and-greets have returned (in a modified way) in select themed locations. For example, you can once again meet Mickey Mouse and some princesses in Magic Kingdom, and say “hello” to the Disney Junior pals in Hollywood Studios. Today, we saw that 3 MORE character meet-and-greets are back!
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can once again snap some selfies with Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams.
Though the My Disney Experience app shows it as “temporarily unavailable,” it was available today. You’ll note that the app also shows the showtimes and standby wait (despite saying it was unavailable). be sure to check the app to see what the wait times are like when you arrive.
Just like the other modified character meet-and-greets we’ve seen, you won’t be able to get up close and hug or ask for an autograph from Minnie.
Instead, a Cast Member will direct guests when it is their turn.
Then, you’ll get the chance to say “hey” to Minnie and snap some photos with her (from a distance).
She may even strike a few FABULOUS poses, so have your cameras ready!
Another character meet-and-greet that has become available is a “sighting” with Belle at Magic Kingdom. While Enchanted Tales with Belle is temporarily unavailable, guests can visit the Enchanted Tales with Belle area to find Belle herself greeting guests!
She’s at a pretty decent distance away from guests though, so keep that in mind.
You can try to grab a distanced photo with her or just ask her about her favorite books and what’s been going on with the Beast lately. We’ve seen Belle over in EPCOT, but it’s nice to see her here as well.
You can search to see what character sightings are available in the My Disney Experience app. You can click on the map and then select “Characters” from the drop-down category.
Over at EPCOT, another character meet-and-greet has arrived at the theater that holds the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. There, you’ll find a “favorite pal.”
In this case, when we stopped by we found Mickey Mouse himself saying “hello” to guests!
Like the other meet-and-greets, Mickey is distanced from guests, standing behind a rope.
You’ll be able to stop by, snap some distanced selfies, and talk to the Mouse that started it all.
If you’re hoping to see some of these characters and snap a few photos, now you can! Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app to see what’s available during your visit.
Just keep in mind that the situation is modified from what it used to be in the past. We’ll keep an eye out for more details and let you know what we find.

Neat! I actually saw Belle in the middle of last week- the Character Attendants told me they were trying something out with this. I could see a security guy and a more “official” looking guy snapping photos and checking out angles and the like. It’s a bit too far away to have a real conversation, though- you gotta shout over 10-12 feet of plants!
