Real estate around Disney World is pretty valuable for hotels since the theme parks draw in millions of visitors a year to this area.
Although many guests choose to stay at one of the Disney hotels, you can also stay outside of Disney World if you’re hoping to save some money or if you’re planning to visit some other vacation spots in Orlando during the same trip. Now there’s another hotel just outside of Disney World that you should take a look at if you’re traveling there soon.
The Quality Suites Lake Buena Vista hotel, which is located to the northeast of Disney World, closed down during the pandemic and did not reopen.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, this hotel was recently purchased for $13.3 million, and its new owner says that it will become a Radisson. The new owner is the Jumani group, so if you want to book the hotel right now, you’ll find it under the name “Jumani Suites Lake Buena Vista” while the owners transition it into a Radisson. There are rooms available now.
The Radisson hotel company already has two Country Inn & Suites in Orlando, but this will be the first Radisson hotel. It will be made up of 1- and 2-bedroom suites, with prices starting as low as $99/night. That’s lower than you’ll usually find at a Disney World hotel (including the value resorts), so staying here could save you a lot of money on your next trip.
This hotel purchase is a vote of confidence for Central Florida’s tourism industry, which suffered drastically during the pandemic but is now on the rise again. In fact, tourism levels are actually higher than the pre-pandemic numbers this year.

We just stayed at this hotel and it was not very nice. Half eaten food left in the freezer and stains on the sofa and chairs. I was caring cleaning products with me and I cleaned the room before we took our luggage in . The desk clerk said they are going to refurbish all the rooms eventually.

We have stayed off property, Disney Springs area hotels, Shades of Green, and Pop Century. Pop was the favorite. With the increase in prices and the loss of benefits for Disney hotels, we will be looking at other options including VRBO and B&B. All we do is sleep and shower, so the value resort was the best.
