Destination D23 last weekend was something else. We had SO many announcements about Disney World!
We learned that the Festival of Fantasy parade and Fantasmic! will be returning. We got a TON of new details about the Galactic Starcruiser. And we learned about an updated castle stage show!
Before Disney World’s closure, the stage show at Cinderella Castle was Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. That show is getting updated with a brand new name, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire.
And now, Disney World is holding auditions for dancers to be a part of that show. So if you’ve ever wanted to be a Disney World performer, here’s your chance! The listing is looking for dancers in the Central Florida area “with great technique who are proficient in musical theatre and jazz style dance.” Also, “all dancers must be solid in lifts and partnering.”
The listing also states that “male identifying dancers who have strong tap and/or tumbling skills a plus!” Applicants should submit online on the Disney Auditions website. Submissions are open until December 3rd. In-person callbacks will happen in early 2022.
UPDATE: Disney World is also casting for the new Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…And Beyond show. This show will replace Finding Nemo: The Musical. This new show also does not have an opening date.
Stay tuned because we’ll let you know about other Disney World job opportunities we see!
