The last festival of 2021 is here — it’s the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! There is SO much to see and do at EPCOT during the holidays. You can watch the Candlelight Processional (with celebrity guest narrators), go on a scavenger hunt with Olaf, complete the Cookie Stroll, or check out the holiday decorations around the World Showcase.
Today, though, we’re EATING our way around EPCOT. The Refreshment Outpost festival food booth has some NEW foods and drinks to try, so let’s take a look!
While Refreshment Outpost isn’t technically a festival food booth, this little spot still serves some new seasonal food and drinks.
What’s on the menu during the Festival of the Holidays? Let’s check it out!
Menu
It’s a Christmas miracle! The Refreshment Outpost is serving a NEW Coconut-Pineapple Cake with DOLE Whip for the holidays.
There are also some drinks available this year, including a Midnight Lager, a Spicy Cinnamon Hard Cider, and a Nairobi Coffee Dark Beer.

Food
We’re always excited to see DOLE Whip on the menu, so we were pretty excited to try this new dessert. It’s a coconut-pineapple cake topped with DOLE Whip pineapple soft-serve ice cream. And this dessert only costs $5!
When we stopped by the first time, a Cast Member told us that they were all out of the cake for the moment and it’d be back in about 20 minutes. We returned a little while later and were able to snag a slice! We thought this cake was very delicious.
The pineapple and coconut flavors are both strong in the cake, and the dried coconut flakes add some great texture to both the cake and the soft-serve ice cream. As huge DOLE Whip fans in general, we love this dessert! And it’s a great tropical option, since a lot of the food in EPCOT for the holidays can be pretty heavy and rich.
If you don’t like tropical flavors, you’ll want to pass on this treat. But if you like pineapple especially, we think you’ll LOVE this. We especially enjoyed that the DOLE Whip melts into the cake a little bit, which makes it even more moist and delicious. But this cake isn’t all this spot has to offer! Let’s talk about the drinks.
Beverages
There are a few drinks on the Refreshment Outpost menu. You can order Midnight Lager, Spicy Cinnamon Hard Cider, or Nairobi Coffee Dark Beer (or try both!). Each of the drinks is $9.75.
The Midnight Lager and Nairobi Coffee are both new drinks this year!
Overall
There aren’t a ton of holiday options at the Refreshment Outpost this year, but that Coconut-Pineapple cake is worth a trip by itself, in our opinion. The soft cake, tropical flavors, and contrasting textures made it a pure delight, and then you add in that there’s DOLE whip on top? Sold. But if you aren’t in the mood for a tropical cake, check out some of the other holiday kitchens nearby, because there are plenty to choose from at this year’s Festival of Holidays!
If you want to try out these new festival offerings, visit the Refreshment Outpost at the Festival of Holidays through December 30th, 2021.
