Travel restrictions and procedures have continued to change as the global pandemic continues.
Holiday Crowds
Recently, the United States reopened some international travel for vaccinated visitors with specific guidelines for travelers. In Disney World, we’ve seen a big influx of crowds in the past couple of weeks due to more people visiting the country. However, coronavirus numbers and variants can change at any time and the introduction of a new COVID-19 variant is causing another travel restriction for the U.S.
According to CNN, President Biden will restrict travel to the United States from 8 countries starting on Monday, November 29th.
On the Airplane
Based on advice from the CDC and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the travel restriction will affect South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi. The new restriction is due to the new COVID-19 variant called Omicron.

CNN stated that “the decision to restrict travel comes as the federal government is still attempting to learn more about the new variant.” Officials decided to pause travel with these countries until they learn more about the new variant.

Just announced the new “variant” is in the UK. Travel restriction from the UK expected soon. Get used to this everyone. There is peer-reviewed scientific research showing that vaccinating with a leaky vaccine during a pandemic puts increasing pressure on it to rapidly mutate. If you don’t believe me the first four cases of this new variant appeared in fully vaccinated individuals.
Well I dont think travel restrictions fron those countries is going to cut down on the crowds at Disney!
It’s been found in European countries as well.
There are no tests to detect any variants. More fear mongering to keep people afraid.
When a person is tested for Covid -19 and it is determined the virus found is a variant it is because of the appearance .A variant will appear different . That is how variants of the SAR -2 Civic -19 are detected . There are physical changes in the virus when it mutates into another variant The virus has protein spikes and irregularity in shape each variant is classified according to it’s physicality. So testing does show what variant Covid 19 has become.
I doubt very many people from those countries are visiting Diz let alone Florida. Cmon man

That is absolutely incorrect and not how variants are detected at all. I am a researcher in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine and use PCR all the time. The most common and most specific test that we have for this virus is PCR technology. This does NOT give any information about what variant is detected. The test simply multiplies the amount of genetic material available in a sample until it is visible using spectrometry. You get either a positive or negative result from this test. To test for which variant gave a positive test result the sample needs to be sent to the CDC or a similarly equipped lab to complete the pathogen’s full genomic sequence. This can then be compared to sequence of other variants to see which one it most closely matches.
I say most closely matches, because the virus will already have accumulated further mutations since it was last sequenced in another patient. Coronaviruses mutate constantly and quickly. This is the reason that the common cold and flu virus can NOT be vaccinated against. It is also the reason that COVID will never go away. In addition if you know anything about survival of the fittest, vaccinating during a pandemic causes increasing pressure on the virus to mutate. I hope you learned something today!

THANK you for clarification from someone with the credentials that COULD change someone’s mind about the effectiveness of a vaccine for a cold. There will NEVER be an effective vaccine for that.
I have shared this will different groups of people, but am always told I do not have the credentials to be an expert, like Dr. Fauci. (I am a nurse and excelled in microbiology and biology).
The country has allowed natural selection to become non-existent, leaving a country whose populace cannot problem solve or think for themselves.
