We’ve already checked out a trailer, some epic Minnie ears, and more adorable merchandise all themed to or about Disney’s latest movie — Encanto!
Right now, Encanto is available only in theaters. The movie features songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, a story all about family, and much more. But, if you can’t make it out to the theaters to watch the film or are wanting to watch it over and over again, we’ve got good news!
On Friday, December 24th, Encanto will be added to Disney+! It will be available for all Disney+ subscribers to stream at no additional cost (a.k.a. you won’t have to pay for Premier Access to see it — it’ll just be available to stream for free).
So, start warming up your voice, get ready to sing, and enjoy this brand new film with your family on Christmas Eve! Or, you can make this movie a special thing for you and your family to watch on Christmas Day (after a visit from Santa, of course).
Encanto is all about a family that lives in a magical house in the mountains of Colombia. Each member of the family has a magical gift — except for one, Mirabel. But when the magic surrounding the house is in danger, Mirabel must figure out how to help save it.
Keep in mind that there will be more fun things to watch on Christmas Day too, with Disney’s Christmas Day Parade.
We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news and we’ll let you know what we find.

Oh please please PLEASEEE fix Columbia, it’s Colombia. I don’t mean to sound pretentious but I’m Colombian and just have to point it out 😉

Vero, we appreciate it! One of our editors fixed it as soon as she saw your comment.

Normally we watch a Christmas movie for Christmas Eve, but both kids have been talking non-stop about this movie and how they want to see it. Guess I know what we’ll be watching as a family before bedtime.
