Disney World recently launched a new Annual Pass system.
This new system has fewer Annual Pass options, is more expensive than the previous system, and some perks have been removed and are instead available as add ons. But, Disney World also just stopped the sale of all of their Annual Passes except for one. So, it was a bit surprising to see Disney still advertising for people to become Passholders.
Disney World is sending out advertisements for Annual Passes to Florida residents, even though they recently paused sales on all passes except the Pixie Dust Pass.
We got this item in the mail recently, which is advertising new Annual Passes.
When we opened it, the inside said that “Now is the perfect time to become an Annual Passholder.” This is interesting, as only one of the four annual pass options is currently available to buy.
But, on the other side of the mailer, Disney does seem to just be advertising for the Pixie Dust Pass, which is the least expensive option and is only available to Florida residents. It also has the most blockout dates.
It makes sense that Disney World is promoting the only Annual Pass they have available right now. But, it was a little surprising to receive this in the mail when sales are currently so limited and there is only one option to choose from. Disney has also not said when the other annual passes will be available again, but we’ll keep you updated when they do, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

We have annual passes with the DVC discount. No blackout dates. I have sent an email to DVC 3 times trying to ascertain if we will still get the DVC discount when our passes come up for renewal. I have received 3 boilerplate answers. And they don’t answer my question. Do you have any idea what the situation is? I don’t live in Florida. We have the DVC discounted annual pass with no blackout dates. Platinum? Thanks

Ads are still being mailed but after nearly 4 months, we still have not received AP magnets. And NO ONE at Disney cares or has an answer.

Carol, I know that non-DVC APs do get a renewal discount, so I would expect you’d receive your DVC renewal discount. Unfortunately I can’t say 100% because I haven’t heard a specific answer to that question. Perhaps try to give Disney a call (or chat) to check (thinking the regular line or VIPassholder services rather than the DVC email/phone).

Carol, I saw on their official Facebook page someone asked this question and they said current passholders can still renew without issue. But I would definitely call them to renew.
