There are holiday treats galore in Disney World right now, whether you’re at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, heading to Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours event, or just visiting the parks and resorts.

But, some of the best snacks can actually be found outside the parks, at Disney World’s hotels. We’re heading to a popular resort today to check out a returning treat that looks very different this year — but how will the taste compare to last year’s version?

Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can head to Contempo Café to try out this festive treat.

Contempo Cafe

The Yule Log is what we’re here for today! This treat is a chocolate chiffon cake topped with peppermint mousse and chocolate ganache. It actually wasn’t available on Mobile Order or in the display case when we stopped by, but we asked a Cast Member about it, and they were able to find us one in the back!

There are two dark chocolate squares on the sides, which are decorated in red and green designs.

Cute!

It’s also decorated with a chocolate gingerbread man, a little mushroom, and a chocolate swirl. And then it’s all covered in silver sparkles! You can get the Yule Log for $5.49.

Fun Designs

It looks pretty different from the ones we’ve seen in the past, as this treat has previously had a lot more cake in it and different decorations. But this year, we actually think the flavor is much better than before! Last year, the chocolate and mint flavors weren’t very strong at all. This year, we could taste both flavors in the mousse and cake.

There’s even a lil mushroom

The chocolate flavor was rich and decadent, and it balanced well with the strong mint flavor. The textures were also great, with a smooth and fluffy mousse.

The chocolate decorations tasted great, although they were just plain chocolate with no other flavors inside.

A look at the back

If you’re not a mint fan, you might want to steer clear of this one. There are plenty of other options at Contempo Café, including a Gingerbread Cookie and a Linzer Cookie if you’re looking for something less minty.
