The Star Wars hotel — Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser — is opening on March 1st, 2022.
With the grand opening approaching, we’ve found out more and more about what you can expect on the ship! We’ve seen some of the merchandise that will be available, a look at one of the characters on board, and saw what the rooms will look like. And now, Disney has released a special welcome message straight from the Starcruiser!
We’ve got a welcome message straight from a Chandrila Star Line representative! This is the company that operates luxury space cruises in the Star Wars universe.
Are you ready to hear the incoming transmission?!
Check out what representative Endario Zinn has to say:
Upcoming guests of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser have received a welcome transmission from the Chandrila Star Line! 💫 pic.twitter.com/rjmqwEgfb1

How exciting! As you could see in the video, the ship you will be on is called the Halcyon, which we have known about — but Zinn showed us another look with her special device. She said the ship was built during the romantic age of exploration and has been hosting trips for centuries!
She also gave us another look at who will be flying our ship, Captain Keevan. We’ve already found out a little about Captain Keevan, and “there may be more to her than meets the eye,” according to Disney Imagineering executive Scott Trowbridge.
And, we got a peek at the holographic version of a cocktail we might find at the Sublight Lounge!
The end of the message was interesting, though. Zinn said, “Chandrila Star Line reserves a right to alter any excursion or itinerary without notice in the unlikely event of piracy, invasion, sabotage, or planetary uprising. Chandrila Star Line is not responsible for galactic unrest.” Sounds like there might be some foreshadowing going on there! We can’t wait to see more from Galactic Starcruiser and will be sure to keep you updated with the latest news and info, so stay tuned to DFB!

Jodevil says
We will be booking, when they finally release Oct cruises. Come on Disney take our money!😁
Patrick Swaggerty says
Wow, that captain’s hat is really quite something!
Jon says
OMG! This just keeps getting worse! That does NOT look anything like the Star Wars I knew growing up. Sorry, this is a hard pass!
Rick TR says
Imagineering: “We need to design some new aliens for our guests to interact with.”
Chapek: “Just paint people’s faces different colors. No one will care”
Also why is that purple lady using an iPhone and why is there static? Was this recorded on a VHS tape? I don’t think the guests have to worry about pirates. Boba Chapek has already robbed them.
GL Josh says
Sad thing is this IS a version of Star Wars some of us grew up with, but it’s the Star Wars Holiday Special.
Richard A Widmaier says
At $6000 for a family of 4 for 2, count em 2, days …. It’s a hard pass. We stayed for a week at Art of Animation at Christmas time a couple of years ago for under $4000 and that included Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Dining Plan. I’m all for an improved guest experience but not at the expense of my checking account nor my intelligence.
