Each week we take a look at the biggest Disney news and share the most important updates with you. This week we’ve got tasty EPCOT International Festival of the Arts updates, lots of updates from Disneyland, and more. Let’s get started!
1 — BIG Festival of the Arts News!
This week was a big one when it comes to the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! The Festival will be available from January 14th, 2022 through February 21st, 2022, and Disney is getting ready to celebrate.
First up, we got the FULL LIST of food booths that will be available at the festival.
There are a few returning favorites, like The Deconstructed Dish, Goshiki, L’Art de la Cuisine Francaise, and Pop Eats! There will also be some brand NEW booths (or booths that we’ve seen at past festivals that are new to the Festival of the Arts) like The Craftsman’s Courtyard and Deco Delights.

But wait, there’s more! We also got some other exciting updates about the Festival of the Arts. Disney has revealed what will be on the menu for the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine (and if you complete it, you’ll be able to get a FREE dessert).
Disney also confirmed that a number of things will be available at the Festival of the Arts this year. They shared a full list of the photo ops, information about the returning Animation Academy, and more. We also got a peek at some new Orange Bird artwork that will be available during the Festival and information about 4 special days when you might want to visit.

2 — Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Updates
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (a.k.a. Star Wars hotel) fans, we got some updates for you this week too! Earlier this week, Disney shared a first look at one of the NEW characters that will be on the Halcyon when you board for your 2-night adventure.
We also got an INCOMING TRANSMISSION from the hotel!

3 — Walt Disney World Railroad & Parking Tram News
This week we also got a few updates on some Disney transportation. First up, we learned that the Walt Disney World Railroad will begin testing soon!
While it won’t be available for fans to ride just yet, you might just hear a few noises coming from the train areas during upcoming vacations.

4 — One-Night Stays are Available in Disney World’s Hotels Again
Earlier this year, one-night stays at Disney World’s hotels became unavailable to book. If you were hoping to plan a super quick visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, that could have seriously interrupted your plans.
But, now guests can book one-night stays at Disney World hotels once more! So if you’re hoping to plan a short vacation, be sure to look and see what hotel rooms are now available for you to snatch up.

5 — New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Disney World
While we had already shared a look at the park hours and other events going on during New Year’s Eve in Disney World, this week we got a FIREWORKS update! Disney has now shared that New Year’s Eve fireworks will be available in both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT and has announced when those fireworks will begin.
Though Disney’s Hollywood Studios is set to be open until midnight, fireworks information has not yet been shared for that park. We’ll be on the lookout for more updates.

6 — Disney Genie+, Entertainment, and Special Event News For Disneyland
This week has been a pretty big one when it comes to news for Disneyland. First, earlier this week Disney announced that various Disneyland After Dark events will be returning for 2022, including Sweethearts’ Nite, Villains Nite, and Star Wars night!
Tickets for the Sweethearts’ Nite have already gone on sale, and tickets for the other events will be going on sale soon.

At Disneyland, guests can also now virtually pre-register for the Disability Access Service, and there are more updates coming to DAS soon.
This week, Disney Genie+ also debuted in Disneyland! It got off to a bit of a rocky start, but it is now available for guests to use.

This week we also learned that a piece of Walt Disney’s childhood will be part of the Toontown transformation set to take place in Disneyland.

In 2022, 6 different entertainment options will return to Disneyland, including the Main Street Electrical Parade and the Disneyland Forever fireworks show!

7 — A COVID-19 Update
To ensure that we are equipping you, our readers, with all the information you need, we’ve continued to look out for updates on travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit. This week, we shared that the first cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant have been found in Florida, one of which was in Tampa Bay.
