When it comes to traveling to Disney World, many guests fly into Orlando International Airport.
And some big changes coming to the airport soon, including a brand new terminal, which will feature NEW dining spots from some of our favorite Disney World restaurants, as well as a new Disney Store! And we now know when the new terminal will open.
According to the official Orlando Airport website, South Terminal C will open to passengers in July 2022. And that terminal will feature a new location for one of our favorite Disney Springs restaurants, Wine Bar George.
According to a map we previously saw of Level 2, Palm Court of Terminal C, Wine Bar George could potentially have 1,062 square feet of space in the new terminal. But that’s not all because the map also shows a spot denoted as Provisions by Cask and Larder, which will be operated by the owners of The Polite Pig. This will be their second location at the airport.
According to The Orlando Business Journal, the new terminal is currently about 87 percent complete. The new terminal is part of a larger airport expansion project that will also include a connection to the Intermodal Terminal Facility — this will eventually be the home to a new Brightline high-speed rail train that will be able to take guests from the airport to Disney World,
Meanwhile, we also know that the airside second level of the North Concourse will be getting a new dining spot, too — Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith. And yes, that’s the same Art Smith who owns Disney Springs‘ Homecomin.’ We’ll be keeping an eye on an opening date for that, as well as on progress about the new terminal, so stay tuned!

What exactly is the value of the Brightline train to Disney (Springs)? If your plans are to get to your hotel room from MCO, then taking the Brightline would be a BIG hassle compared to a ride share. Example: You land at MCO, get your own luggage, take it to Brightline, get on train and – eventually – get to Disney Springs. Then you get off the train with your luggage and load everything onto a Disney bus to your hotel. What an effort – and can’t imagine that with multiple kids and strollers.
Compare that to simply hailing a ride share directly from MCO to your hotel.
There are some naively suggesting that Brightline would be a replacement for Magical Express. Hardly.

Brute line is a poor answer to the transportation issue…no doubt. But as for this new terminal, is it a new building structure…? Or is it added to one of the existing gate pods that currently exist. Where is it going to be located?
