Hey there, DFB friends! It’s only 3 days until Christmas and we’re here with what’s new in Animal Kingdom!
We got to enjoy a VERY limited seasonal treat and we also found some cute new merchandise! Want to come along with us?
Animal Kingdom Food Update
Satu’li Canteen brought back the Peppermint Cream Cheese Mousse treat and, of course, we had to try it! This DFB-favorite treat is only available during Christmas (this) week for $5.29.
This year’s treat is creamy and pepperminty (but not as overpowering as it was in 2019!), and the milk chocolate decoration adds even more depth to the flavors. It’s also beautiful!

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Riverside Depot
We spotted a new Minnie Kitchen Sink Keychain in Riverside Depot! It’s the same size as the Mickey Kitchen Sink Keychain that we’ve seen before. But it has an updated look!
We also found a new Hercules Pin featuring Herc and Megara.
And there was some new jewelry, too! This Earring Set features a pair of castles, Mickey pretzels, and Mickey balloons for $19.99.
And you can also get a matching Charm Necklace for $24.99.
So cute! Let’s take a look at some other new things we found.
Island Mercantile
The black and gold Luxe Logo 50th Anniversary Ears were restocked at Island Mercantile! These ears feature a black and gold sequin bow and faux leather ears imprinted with the 50th logo and Cinderella Castle.
These ears are $39.99, and one of the more affordable luxe ears!

Mombasa Marketplace
At Mombasa Marketplace in Africa, we found a new Carved Lion Sculpture for $14.99. The front of the sculpture is painted and looks like this…
…while the back is plain wood.
Should we make our way to Asia?
Yak & Yeti Bazaar
Over at Yak & Yeti Bazaar in Asia, there was a new Rain Jacket for $60. This jacket is a light pink with a hood and a front pocket…
…and on the chest, it says “Yak & Yeti Orlando” in gold.
Let’s go explore some dinosaurs!
Dino Institute
At the Dino Institute, there were several new cats for kiddos! This I Dig Dinosaurs Explorer Hat is $14.99.
There was also a new T-Rex Bucket Hat for $19.99. The front says T-Rex…
…and the top of his hat has a T-Rex skull fossil image.
And there was a Dinosaur Expedition Baseball Hat for $24.99.
What else is happening in DinoLand U.S.A.?
DinoRama
The original prize plush toys are back at DinoRama, replacing the dinosaurs we’ve seen with Santa hats.
Now when you play you can win a traditional dinosaur plush!
Chester & Hester
And at Chester & Hester, we found a new Mickey Jean Jacket for $74.99. This button-front jean jacket features Mickey on the front…
…and on the back, there’s a larger image of Mickey along with the words, “the one and only.”
And that’s it for new merchandise!
Animal Kingdom Various Update
We spotted a Mears Connect bus for the first time in the Animal Kingdom parking lot! Mears Connect is one of the services replacing the Magical Express, and yes, it will cost money. The bus we spotted was white with a colorful sea turtle on the side.
The bus we spotted was transporting guests to the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, but as of January 1st, 2022 Mears Connect will also be transporting guests to and from the Orlando International Airport.
Check out more photos of the Mears Connect bus here!
