Disney World is still celebrating their 50th Anniversary, a party that started on October 1st, 2021, and will last for eighteen months past that date.
One of the ways the parks celebrated this momentous occasion is by putting up fifty golden statues of various Disney and Pixar characters (called the Fab 50). You can find Simba and his friends in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Mickey and the gang in front of the Cinderella Castle, Miguel and Dante near the Mexico pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase, and more. But now you can bring these character statues into your own home! And the price is not nearly as high as you might think.
You can buy mini gold character statues online now! We already spotted some gold character statue ornaments in the parks, but now you can buy miniature versions of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary statues for yourself.
They’re called the Walt Disney World Fab 50 Series, and right now the only available option is Series 1. Here’s the thing: you won’t get to choose which statue you buy. They only come in mystery boxes, which means you could get any of ten different statues. Series 1 has the following characters: Mickey Mouse, Dumbo with Timothy Mouse, Tinker Bell, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh with Piglet, Stitch, Edna Mode, Dory, and Figment.
One figure costs $9.99, and they’re each about 2.5 inches tall.
Since Disney specified that there are 10 characters in Series 1, we’re guessing that there will be four more series released after this one to cover all 50 character statues (although a couple of these figures are actually two statues, like Winnie the Pooh and Piglet).
