Happy New Year! If you’re starting off 2022 with a trip to Disney World, then you’re probably wondering just how busy things will be in the parks. After all, it’s been a bit crowded these days, with families from all over visiting for the holidays (did you hear about that four hour wait the other day at Rise of the Resistance?).
As the holiday season winds down, let’s take a look at the park hours and Park Pass Reservation availability for the week of January 2nd, 2022!
Disney World Park Hours the Week of January 2nd
Magic Kingdom will be open from 9AM-11PM Sunday and Monday next week, from 9AM-9PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 9AM-10PM on Saturday. On Wednesday, January 5th, Magic Kingdom will remain open for two additional hours for guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts.
EPCOT will be open from 9:30AM-9PM Sunday and Monday, from 10AM-9PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 9AM-9PM on Saturday next week. On Monday, January 3rd, EPCOT will remain open for two additional hours for guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open from 8:30AM-9PM Sunday and Monday, and from 9AM-9PM Tuesday through Saturday next week.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open from 8AM-8PM on Sunday, Monday, and Saturday next week, and from 8AM-7PM Tuesday through Friday.
Just as a reminder, Early Theme Park Entry has been extended from 30 minutes to 60 minutes now through January 3rd. This means that on Sunday and Monday next week, guests at Disney World Resort hotels can enter any of the four parks one hour prior to the posted opening time. Starting on January 4th, this perk goes back to its standard thirty-minute early access.

Don says
Still, in Disneyland, Dream Key passes, the highest level allowing entrance “every day of the year” are blocked out on almost every weekend day…plus a few other days in January. Oddly enough, those days are open to anyone purchasing tickets for those days. Does Disney think there customers are stupid? Are they stupid? Are we even smart enough to figure this out?
