2022 has arrived, and there are already SO many new Disney items to collect!

New light-up 2022 ears have arrived, and more 2022 merchandise has made its way online. Lots of new merchandise items are also set to be released this year, including some Stitch Crashes Disney items, and a new Mickey Mouse-themed series. But, the fun ain’t over yet. We just got a SNEAK PEEK at what appears to be a brand new set of Minnie Ears that might be released sometime soon!

Recently, Disney Parks released a video on TikTok showing an individual wearing 2022 Disney merchandise. The 2022 shirt they’re wearing (with the Disneyland logo on it) is one we’ve already seen online, and the rest of their outfit is pretty great. But wait just one second…what’s that on their head? Do you see what we see?!

Could it be? Are those…NEW MINNIE EARS?!

The ears the individual is wearing has a turquoise bow in the center and there are multi-colored sequins covering the ears.

The ears don’t look familiar to us, so it seems like Disney has provided a little sneak peek of some of the newest ears that will likely become available at some point this year.

These new ears sort-of remind us of these pink and blue ears we saw last year in Disneyland…

…or their cousin, the Annual Passholder ears we found in Disney World in 2021. Both of these ears were similarly covered in sequins of a few different colors with a fun, solid-colored bow right in the center.

When will these new ears be released? Are they part of the 2022 line of merchandise (as indicated by the shirt the individual is wearing in the TikTok)? Will they be released in Disneyland first considering that the shirt the individual is wearing is the 2022 shirt design for Disneyland? Will they be priced regularly or be more expensive (like we’ve seen with some of the 50th anniversary ears)? Will we get any other items to match with these ears, like spirit jerseys or Loungefly bags? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

UPDATE! It appears the ears are currently listed on the United Kingdom shopDisney website as Disney Parks Minnie Mouse 2022 Ears Headband. 

They are priced at £24, which is about $32.49 in the U.S.

The ears appear to have “2022” embroidered onto them, answering our question about whether these would in fact be part of the 2022 collection.

Assuming that these ears are the same ones in the video and the same ones we’ll get in the parks, it seems we’ve uncovered some of the answers to our questions. But why they’ve only appeared on the UK shopDisney website at the moment is another mystery!
