Every once in a while, the rides and attractions in the Disney parks may need to close temporarily in order to perform routine maintenance so they can continue to operate in tip-top shape for years to come! Sometimes the closures only last for a few days, but sometimes they can last for a few weeks or even a few months, as is the case right now with Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Luckily, Disney typically updates their site well enough in advance that guests can find out if a ride will be closed ahead of their upcoming vacation. And it looks like another ride will be closed temporarily at the Disneyland Resort next week.
We’ve already shared the news that the Disneyland Monorail will close temporarily later this month. Disneyland’s website has recently been updated to include another ride closure happening in January, this time in Disney California Adventure.
The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is currently not showing operating hours (which indicates that the ride will be closed) starting on Monday, January 10th.
This closure is scheduled to last through Thursday, January 13th, with the ride reopening to guests on Friday, January 14th.
