We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: you don’t need a park ticket to find some of the BEST snacks in Disney World! Between Disney’s hotel-exclusive foods and drinks (looking at you, Polynesian Resort) and a vast array of options at Disney Springs, there’s plenty to eat outside of the four Disney parks.
If you’re looking for a tried-and-true snack that won’t let you down, you might want to visit Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs. At DFB, we RAVE about Gideon’s specialty cookies and cakes each month, and January is no exception! But for ONE DAY ONLY, another exclusive treat is making its way to Gideon’s Bakehouse. Let’s take a look!
To kick off 2022, Gideon’s Bakehouse went BANANAS with the special flavor of the month. Earlier this month, we tried the new cookie and coffee, but a NEW cake is here for just one day. Introducing…Dr. Tobias Brimstone’s Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cake!
This amazing creation consists of a three-layer vanilla cake lightly flavored with housemade banana syrup and mini chocolate chips between each layer. That’s all topped off with ultra-thick layers of real banana buttercream coated with a mix of larger chocolate chips and candied walnuts.
Ummm, yeah. That sounds amazing. But if you want this cake, listen up: it’s only available on Sunday, January 9th while supplies last! If you need us, we’ll be daydreaming about this cake for the rest of the day. In the meantime, stay tuned for all the latest Disney news, reviews, and park updates!

Vicki Daley says
Does Disney Springs still have a limit on how many people can be there? We are going on a Sat in Feb to meet up with family from out of state. We have a reservation to eat but I want to go before the reservation.
DFB Sarah says
Vicki, the parking garages do sometimes become full, which can prevent folks from entering Disney Springs. If you have an Advance Dining Reservation in that instance, you can drive down to the surface parking (near West Side) and speak to a Cast Member. In our experience, they will allow guests in who have a verifiable ADR.
