This past week, we spent a lot of time in Magic Kingdom!
There were all kinds of new things in Disney World’s OG park this week, including new food items, new merchandise, and so much more. So let’s dive right in and check out the full list of new things that you missed in the parks this week!
Food Updates
Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
Let’s kick things off with a food update! Over at Auntie Gravity’s, the Uncle Orville Sundae has been removed from the menu…yet again. This adorable sundae was first released for the 50th Anniversary and came in a cute little bathtub-shaped bowl.
However, since its release, its status on the menu has gone back and forth, and supply issues have meant that the bathtub itself was often missing. Hopefully, it will come back soon!
Gaston’s Tavern
Over at Gaston’s Tavern, we spotted turkey legs on the menu! Typically, you’ll find these at Prince Eric’s Village Market in front of Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid, but that location was closed when we visited.
So, if you’ve got a hankering for a turkey leg and the trusty snack stand is closed, make sure to check Gaston’s — you might be pleasantly surprised with what you find! (And there are some other delicious treats in here as well.)
Price Increases
On January 10th, Disney World issued hundreds of new price increases for snacks and food across the property. Prices on many popular items went up by anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars, which means you’ll need to budget more for food during your next visit.
We saw this change at several snack booths, and it affected some fan favorites, like Dole Whip, Mickey bars, bottled sodas, and more.

New 50th Anniversary Snacks
Magic Kingdom also released new 50th Anniversary snacks on January 10th. (It was a big day for food!) We got new sweet options, new savory items, and everything in-between…and we tried it ALL. Specifically, we grabbed the new fish sandwich…
…the updated version of a MASSIVE 50th anniversary sundae…
Make sure to check out our list of the new treats that are available, and don’t forget to look at our reviews for all the 50th Anniversary snacks that are out now!
Cheshire Cafe
And if you’re hoping to stop by Cheshire Cafe for a cat tail or a coffee, you may want to rethink your plans. The snack stand near Mad Tea Party has been closed off and on for the past few days.Â
This spot tends to have seasonal operating hours, meaning that it’s sometimes closed when the parks aren’t as busy. We’ll keep an eye on it to see if anything changes with the menu.

Construction Updates
Tron Coaster
We’re still not-so-patiently waiting for the opening of the Tron coaster in Magic Kingdom, and we’ve been watching the construction progress for a while now. Things are still moving along but an opening date has not yet been announced.
We’ll keep watching over here to see if there are any big updates in the coming months. We can’t wait to ride this one!
Attractions Updates
Jungle Cruise
And this week, Jungle Cruise returned to its former non-holiday glory. We’ll have to wait until next year to set sail on the Jingle Cruise again, with all those holly jolly puns! Also, the hut at the exit of the ride has been rethemed to a ticket booth.
If you haven’t been on the ride in a while, make sure to check it out on your next visit! Last summer, new scenes and animatronics were added to give the ride a more cohesive storyline.
Splash Mountain
Also on January 10th (we said it was a big day, y’all), Disney World closed Splash Mountain for a month-long refurbishment. During this time, the ride will simply be getting routine maintenance.
This happens often in the winter months for water rides, so it’s nothing truly extraordinary. In fact, Kali River Rapids went through the same schedule at the end of last year.

Merchandise Updates
The Emporium
Starting out at the park’s biggest shop, let’s check out the new merchandise that’s available. The white 50th Anniversary t-shirt is back in stock for $36.99. This one is pretty popular, so you may want to hurry!
We also got a new pair of 50th Anniversary jogger pants. Who says you can’t celebrate in comfort AND style? You can buy these for $49.99.
The new 50th Anniversary Cinderella doll is here as well. It’s $129.99, so it’s not a cheap investment. She’s stunning (and she comes with a scepter!), but also, you could buy an extra day’s park ticket with that kind of money!
Some new shirts arrived in the store as well. For starters, there’s this Made of Magic Minnie Mouse Tee for girls that’s $19.99Â and…
…we’ve got the Feelin’ Magical T-Shirt for $39.99. Who doesn’t love a good baseball tee?
And finally, we’ve got an awesome new pair of 50th Anniversary socks for $14.99. You didn’t really need these when the anniversary celebrations first kicked off (it was like 80+ degrees in Florida), but now that it’s colder, it’s time to roll them out!
What do you think? We’re ready to add them to our cart right away!
Uptown Jewelers
Looking for something a little bit fancier? Uptown Jewelers is the place to be…starting with this new Bulova watch with the castle logo. It’s a whopping $595, that’s NOT a cheap souvenir!
Also, they sell Pandora jewelry in here. The newest charm that you can buy for your Pandora bracelet features Mickey and Minnie kissing in a teacup — how precious! It’s $75.
Keep in mind that this is a theme park exclusive charm, so you won’t find it anywhere else.
Star Traders
Over in Tomorrowland, we found some new merchandise at Star Traders. First of all, there’s a brand-new Mickey sweatsuit that we think is perfect for those comfy park days or lazy days at home. The sweatshirt is $49.99…
…and the matching pants are $44.99.
And there’s yet ANOTHER new t-shirt in Magic Kingdom. The We Shine Together Princess Tee is $19.99 and perfect for Jasmine, Ariel, or Belle fans.
It comes in girls’ sizes…sadly not for the big kids just yet!
Big Top Souvenirs
In the back of Big Top Souvenirs, there’s a little kiosk where you can get some customizable merchandise. Here, we found a design for an engravable luggage tag that looks like a 1971 Walt Disney World license plate!
You can order this souvenir from the kiosk for $15. What a unique way to mark your luggage!
Sir Mickey’s
In Sir Mickey’s, we found a new item that PeopleMover fans are going to love…it’s this charm for your bag! The keychain is easy to clip onto your backpack or purse, and you can flash around that PeopleMover logo.
This ride definitely has a cult following, and if you’re among the fans, then you should pick this up for $9.99.
Plaza del Sol
And finally, there’s a new accessory for all the swashbuckling rogues and ruffians out there. Plaza del Sol has a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed sword, complete with belt loop and Jack Sparrow on the blade!
It’s a toy, so it won’t do any real damage, and you can buy it for $9.99.

Joanne Labasz says
Oh by the way, I just returned from WDW (week of 1/3/2022) and in place of the “bathtub” sundae there is now a super hot item in the MK…Mickey’s kitchen sink!. It is super cute and was flying out of the ice cream parlor on Main Street. It is 2 scoops of any flavor ice cream served with whipped cream and a cherry if you so like and it is served in a bright red tub that looks like Mickey’s pants with Mickey white gloved hands as the faucets and a black center faucet. I am using mine to hold trinkets on my vanity. Please check it out before it is all gone……as for another missing item – went to Gaston’s Tavern in the MK for the “grey stuff” and was told that that is no longer served there. Now, the only place to find that is at King Stephan’s Banquet Hall where you, unfortunately, have to pay a hefty price for a very fancy meal. Not worth it just to get the ” grey stuff” in my opinion.
