There are few things that spark a fire in the hearts of Disney fans like a limited-time souvenir.
We’ve seen incredibly long lines during the 50th Anniversary for new merchandise, virtual waiting rooms on shopDisney for limited release items, and don’t even get us STARTED on what things were like when Disney World reopened…after they had announced that Splash Mountain was getting a retheme. And today, we’re met with this phenomenon again, but this time at EPCOT!
It’s the opening day of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and we are PUMPED. We’re ready to try a bunch of food, shop around the World Showcase, and explore all the fun and artistic offerings. But first, we have to wait in line. A very long line.
Wanna guess what this is for? We’ll give you a hint…it’s a popcorn bucket! That’s right, this is the line currently to purchase the new Figment popcorn bucket with rainbow popcorn.
It was announced a few days ago, and fans went WILD online. We can’t really blame them, because he’s stinkin’ adorable.
Where can you find him? Well, you’ll want to head over to the Pop Eats! booth at the festival, which is located near the front of the World Showcase. Since he’s so popular, Disney is limiting purchases to two buckets per guest.
Thankfully, we’ve got a few members of our team in EPCOT today to cover the other parts of the fest, because we think we might be here a while. Send us (and all the other people waiting in line) those good vibes — we’re coming for you, Figment!!!
We finally made it to the front of the line after waiting about an hour and 10 minutes (we got in line at 9:30AM during Early Theme Park Entry). Isn’t he cute?!

UPDATE: Currently, the line is a predicted 6.5-hour wait. When you put the distance that it covers into Google Maps, it’s nearly 1/2 a mile long.

Seriously? People actually waste their lives waiting in a 6.5 hour line for plastic bucket of popcorn? Why? To display their coveted “ collection” of popcorn buckets on a dusty shelf? Not impressing me at all.
Shirley says
No I would not because I can’t stand that long. Will the Figment be around for a while or only the first weekend or only for the festival or what?? I have heard so many stories. Would like to know the truth. I like it I have others but never had to stand in line like this. And I won’t for figmet even though he is a favorite
DFB Gigi says
Hi Shirley,
Thanks so much for reaching out! Unfortunately the Figment popcorn bucket is sold out for now. Disney has not let us know if it will be returning at a later date, but we will update as soon as we know!
