Park Pass Reservations have become essential to a Disney World vacation, much like buying a ticket or making hotel reservations.
If you’re heading to any of the four Disney World parks, you’ll need to reserve a pass for the specific park you’re visiting along with a ticket. This new system came into being when Disney World reopened after the 2020 closure, and it looks like it’ll be here to stay for a while. The dates for reservations have been extended again! Check out how far in advance you can book your reservations for your upcoming trip.
Guests can currently book park pass reservations through January 18th, 2024. If you’re visiting on or before that date, you can reserve your passes now as soon as you buy your tickets. Annual Passholders can also reserve passes to that date.
Remember that you’ll need a park pass in order to get into the park, even if you already have tickets. We recommend reserving those passes as soon as possible so that you don’t forget or miss out on the park you want to visit most. During busy times, the passes tend to run out for some parks a couple of weeks in advance, so it’s best to be prepared with your passes early.
If you’re park hopping, you will only need a park pass for the first park you visit. Once you’ve scanned into that park, you can go into another one without a reservation (after 2PM).
Since the calendar goes until 2024 now, it seems like the Park Pass Reservation system is here to stay for at least a couple more years. But things are constantly changing at Disney World, so we’ll be sure to let you know if we hear about any updates.

Is the park pass reservation for the park you start at (assuming you are intending to park hop) always available for that day? If we leave MK and go to Epcot for dinner…are we guaranteed to be able to get back into MK later that evening…or would we now be subject to hopping availability since we left?
Thanks!

Hi AW,
Thanks so much for reaching out. The park reservation is for the park where you begin your day, but after 2pm you can hop to another park. If you decide you want to head back to your original park, you still have entry into that park. For example: You reserve a park pass for Magic Kingdom, hop over to Animal Kingdom at 2pm, but want to head back to Magic Kingdom at 7pm, you’re good. 🙂

Am I missing how we book theme park tickets? I see the park pass is available through 2024 but the park tickets I’m seeing still stop at the end of 2022. Are people other than Annual Pass Holders able to get theme park tickets in 2023?

Hi, We are going in March 2023 but when I go to the dates it only goes until December 2022. Am I missing something?
Thank you

Is it possible to decide to plan a Disney visit for one singular day while vacationing nearby? As in, is walk up ticketing still an option with needing to secure a park pass reservation?

Park pass reservations open up before resort reservation do? We’d like to book a trip for 2024. But when I try to book a Disney resort, it only gives me options through December 2023. Thanks!
