A number of things are set to return to or arrive in Disney World in 2022 including the Festival of Fantasy Parade, Fantasmic!, and more.

Another thing that will be joining in on the fun is an updated version of the castle stage show, which will be called Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire! We’ve already seen some news about this stage show and we shared a look at their casting information for when they were hiring for the show. But today we’ve got a BIG announcement about just WHEN fans will get to see Mickey and the gang in this updated entertainment offering.

For those of you itching to see the return of this updated show, we’re happy to share that Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will debut on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage on…February 25th, 2022!
Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire
Before the COVID-19 shutdown, the stage show at Cinderella Castle was called Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. This stage show will be an updated version of that with a NEW name.
The show has been “newly enhanced” in celebration of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. It will feature scenes inspired by a few different hit Disney movies including Frozen, Tangled, and The Princess and the Frog. The show will also have a new opening and a new finale which will feature Mickey Mouse and his friends in their EARidescent outfits.

The Disney website notes that guests will be able to “watch as classic and contemporary Disney Characters interact in a magical, musical extravaganza featuring lively dancing, dazzling effects and music from the films.”
Essentially, it’s the classic stage show fans know and love, with some enhancements and 50th Anniversary twists (and a new name!).

Disney has also announced that the stage show will feature “an all-new, original song entitled ‘Where the Magic Feels Like Home.'”
