This week was…weird. Especially in Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom had a visit from the fire department, a ride evacuation, huge crowds, and you’ll NEVER guess in a million years the odd sight we came across in Adventureland. Check out all the unexpected news here!
Fire Department Visit
A smoking break room refrigerator led to the evacuation and closure of both Space Mountain and the PeopleMover. The Reedy Creek Fire Department responded and a firefighter unplugged the fridge. Thankfully, there was no fire, and both rides later reopened.
Not long ago, the fire department visited Magic Kingdom due to a fire near Cinderella Castle. Hopefully, Magic Kingdom doesn’t need any more visits from firefighters anytime soon!

BIG Crowds
We’ve seen big crowds in Disney World recently, and this week it took us twice as long to get to the gates of Magic Kingdom. There was a HUGE crowd going through security at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), and a Cast Member announced that it could take up to an hour just to make it through the line.
For context, it usually takes us around 30 minutes to park, go through security, and get on some form of transportation from TTC to the gates of Magic Kingdom. This week, it took us a full hour! If you’re visiting soon, it might be a good idea to pack your patience.

PeopleMover Evacuation
The beloved PeopleMover was evacuated this week, and Cast Members helped escort guests off the ride. Ride evacuations can happen in Disney World, and this isn’t the first time we’ve seen it happen to the PeopleMover. In fact, it’s happened quite a few times.

It’s pretty normal for rides to break down in Disney World from time to time, and if riders are present, Cast Members help lead guests safely out of the area. If it happens to you, why not use it as an excuse to go get another Dole Whip!

Little Caesars Pizza?
We were kinda confused when we came across Cast Members wheeling large stacks of $5 Little Caesars pizzas through Magic Kingdom. Apparently, they didn’t want any puffy pizza?
The pizzas were wheeled backstage, so clearly they were meant for Cast Members. It was still a really weird sight to see in the middle of Adventureland!
In Magic Kingdom, they could have just visited Pinocchio Village Haus for some flatbread pizza, but we suppose Little Caesars just sounded better that day.
