We’ve got a spicy Disney World question for you!
On Facebook, we asked our readers an interesting question: “You can only pick one! 5-minute wait for Flight of Passage or unlimited rides on Rise of the Resistance?” Whew, that’s a toughie. Here’s what YOU said!
This might be surprising, but with over 600 responses, the results were split pretty evenly!
Gotta Go Flight of Passage.
Just about half of our followers said they would hands-down pick a 5-minutes wait for Flight of Passage. One reader said, “Rise of the Resistance was cool but we were glad for our Lightning Lane. It is not worth an hour wait, let alone the often posted 3 hour wait time. It was a one-and-done ride for us. We all really enjoyed Flight of Passage though.”
Another agreed, noting, “It is and will always be my favorite ride! I wasn’t as impressed with Rise.” And yet another reader said, “That’s our family’s absolute favorite ride. We aren’t Star Wars people and Rise was cool but very much a one-and-done kind of thing for us.”
Some liked both rides, but still think Flight of Passage pulls ahead. “We rode 3 times in August, twice as walk-ons and once with about a 5-minute wait,” one follower said of the Pandora ride, “Could have done it a dozen more times and still loved it as much as the first time. Rise was really unique and immersive though.”
But for some, Rise of the Resistance just doesn’t do it for them, “I wasn’t that impressed with RotR. My husband and I enjoyed Smugglers Run more.”

Rise of the Resistance allllllll the way, baby!
On the other side of things, many readers went for UNLIMITED Rise of the Resistance! One noted, “Love the immersion of the ride with live actors,” while another said, “Unlimited rides on Rise! What a dream!”
The immersive nature of Rise of the Resistance seemed to win these readers over. As one put it, “I’m a huge Star Wars fan but also, that ride is so long & so immersive, it’s hard to pass it up.”
Plus, for many people choosing Rise, they prefer a physical environment over the virtual nature of Flight of Passage. Hey, flying on a banshee can certainly cause motion sickness. One follower said, “I would get sick riding the Flight of passage all day.”
The fact is, the choice was simple for many Rise of the Resistance fans: “5-minute wait to become incredibly motion sick or unlimited rides on one of the best attractions at WDW? Hmmmmm…”

Neither! I’ve got my sights on other rides!
But not everyone answered the question we asked! For some, they’d prefer an unspoken third option. Haunted Mansion got a few callouts with one saying they’d skip Rise and Flight of Passage for a ride on “Haunted Mansion at midnight on Halloween.”
Another reader noted, “Option 3: A peaceful morning in Hollywood Studios with limited crowds. No rides, just vibes.” Now THAT seems unlikely with all the crowds we’ve seen in Hollywood Studios lately.
Oh, and one reader was a person after our own heart when they said, “Can I get two corn dogs and a caramel apple instead?”
