Your Disney World trip would not be possible without one group of people: Cast Members! Even Mickey Mouse himself can’t run the parks by himself — it takes a whole team of people to make magic. If you’ve ever experienced a special moment in Disney World thanks to a Cast Member, you can give them a special shout-out to recognize their work. The best part? It’s super simple!
Disney World is nothing without those incredible Cast Members!
Back in October of 2021, Disney debuted a new way to give a Cast Compliment through the My Disney Experience app. This made it much quicker and easier to leave a compliment, but the new system wasn’t perfect. Now, Disney updated the mobile Cast Compliment feature! Let’s take a look at the new process.
In the past, the mobile Cast Compliment process was pretty basic. The app allowed you to describe the reason for your compliment and select a location, but there was no place to specify the Cast Member who made your day a little better. What’s the point of a Cast Compliment if you can’t even talk about the person who helped you?!
Cast Members are the BEST!
Luckily, Disney listened to guest feedback and changed the Cast Compliment system! Now, guests can give special, personalized recognition to Cast Members by entering their first name, hometown (or college), and date of interaction! Don’t worry, though; if you didn’t see the Cast Member’s name, you can still leave a compliment by describing the location!

To leave a mobile Cast Compliment, visit the My Disney Experience app and search “Cast Compliment.” From there, you can enter the reason for your compliment, the location, name, hometown, and date of your interaction!

So glad they have done this. We had a couple very magical moments during our visit last week (extraordinary photographers during a wedding proposal, and a terrific server at Steakhouse 71) and were having difficulty giving a shout-out to the individuals. Now we can give them the credit they deserve!
