WOW, we have a lot to discuss in Disney World! From health and safety updates to new character cavalcades, there is almost always something new to check out in the parks. Today, though, we’re focusing on just one park: the iconic, the timeless, the innovative…EPCOT!
We’re taking a quick trip around EPCOT to see what’s new — come with us!
EPCOT Character Updates
Daisy Duck was hanging out in EPCOT meeting guests! Daisy can sometimes visit some of the parks on a sort of random/irregular schedule, so you might not quite know where or when you’ll see her (except in select spots like Tusker House or other character dining areas where she’s a regular!)!
In our opinion, she could use a more aesthetically pleasing backdrop, but we’re happy to see her either way.
PHOTOS: You NEVER Know Who You Might See in Disney World!
Over in the UK pavilion, Alice was out to say hello! She was even all dressed up in her wintertime outfit; how cute! We’ve seen Alice before so this isn’t new new but we just couldn’t help but share a photo of her here since we spotted her in her wintertime look!
Looking for more characters? You can check out Joy, Vanellope, and Mickey in their assigned locations on a fixed schedule. Just check out the My Disney Experience app for the official (modified) character meet and greet times.
TWO Beloved Character Meet and Greets Finally RETURN to Disney World!

Thought you’d never see a Figment popcorn bucket again? We’ll show you a SEA of them! The Figment popcorn bucket was back (for a short time) to be purchased through mobile order. Guests didn’t have to wait in a crazy line this time!
The popcorn was a little different the second time around, too!

Mission Space Cargo Bay — World Discovery
There’s a new coral-colored NASA hat available at the Mission Space gift shop for $29.99.
The hat comes in multiple (bright) colors!

For our Figment fans, there’s a new Festival of the Arts ornament for $22.99.
We also found a new Festival of the Arts mug for $19.99.
You may be able to find this in most of the major gift shops in EPCOT, so be sure to look around!

We’ve already shown off these beautiful new Minnie ears earlier in the month, but now they are also available in EPCOT!

We’ve got some 50th Anniversary Mickey and Minnie pins…

…Chip and Dale…
…Maleficent and Belle…
…and Figment and Orange Bird! These also just arrived in Disneyland!
Two new pins from the beautiful florals collection arrived in EPCOT: Belle and Pocahontas are $19.99 each.
Do you collect any Disney pins? It’s pretty addictive!
World Traveler — International Gateway
We’re gonna be honest, we’re having a hard time making the connection between the Toy Story Aliens and inspirational quotes — are those little green guys secretly motivational speakers or something?
Either way, this new shirt is $24.99.
Souvenirs de France — France
Jumping over to World Showcase, Disney released a new blue Paris-inspired shirt (the one on the left) for $36.99.
For a junior Paris-lover, these new kid’s leggings are $24.99.
Over on this display area, we found a new baseball hat for $29.99 and a new long sleeve top for $39.99.
As the shirt says, “tres chic!”

You can get it for $14.99.
The Art of Disney — The American Adventure
Looking for a decoration you can use for TWO holidays? Check out this “Moonlight Dance” Nightmare Before Christmas Jack and Sally figurine for $75! It looks like it’s been available for some time, but we noticed it in EPCOT during a recent trip and wanted to share it with you.
Really, you could leave this out all year long!
Die Weihnachts Ecke — Germany
During a recent trip we also spotted a cute cupcake ornament in the Christmas store in Germany! It’s possible this cutie has been around for a while, but we noticed it recently and just couldn’t help but share!
You can get it for $26.95.
The Queens Table — U.K.
We found 3 new coffee mugs and teacups in the U.K. pavilion in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! This month marks 70 years since Queen Elizabeth became the Queen of the U.K. and the Commonwealth.
There’s this mug, which has Queen Elizabeth’s silhouette and is $34.99…
…and this one which shows various symbols of the monarchy, including the Queen’s corgis!
This one is also $34.99.
Finally, there is this teacup which has the Queen’s royal cypher…
…as well at the Queen’s silhouette.
You can get this teacup for $59.99.
The Fjording Shop — Norway
In the Norway pavilion, we found this cute little Frozen dress for $34.99. It comes with two separate pieces.
Kids can also wear Disney’s new Frozen jacket for $44.99. It even comes with some little Frozen-inspired pins!
Rounding out the collection, there’s also a new purple Frozen jacket for $49.99.
Be honest: would you wear these if they came in adult sizes?
House of Good Fortune — China
The China pavilion has some new-to-us Peach and Caramel Frappe-flavored candy!
Would you try them?
Mitsukoshi — Japan
Next up, we hit the Japan pavilion, which was selling some fun 3D character puzzles in the Mitsukoshi store for $17.95 each.
Whew! That covers all the new merchandise, now what’s up around the park?
EPCOT Construction Updates
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Painting continues outside of the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction! We’re getting closer to an opening date!
The newly installed Nova Core spaceship has some little blasters installed on it, too!
Across the water, Disney planted some new 50th Anniversary flowers; can you see the 50?
Moana: Journey of Water
While we were on the Monorail, we got a little peek at the upcoming Moana: Journey of Water construction project! It’s looking pretty busy in this area, that’s for sure!
Japan
Finally, a new section of pavement was added in front of the Mitsukoshi store in the Japan pavilion.
Looks fresh!
EPCOT Additional Updates
Creations
There was a minor incident over at the Creations store recently. It was temporarily closed and evacuated due to a fire alarm.
Don’t worry though, the store reopened later in the day and all was well.
