Are you ready for some BIG Disney news?! Yes?! Okay good. Let’s GO, GO, GO!
This week we got all kinds of Disney news — from information about price increases for select park tickets to a face mask policy change. So if you want to make sure that you’re fully up to date on all the latest Disney park news, you’re in the right spot. Let’s go over everything you need to know!
1 — Face Mask Policy Change
In big news this week, we first saw Universal Orlando announce a change to its mask policy, and soon after both Disney World and Disneyland announced changes to their mask policies that are now in effect.
Since February 17th, 2022, Disney World’s new policy as been in place. Under the updated mask policy, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear a mask in most indoor places. Guests who are not fully vaccinated, however, are expected to continue wearing masks in indoor places.
Additionally, all guests regardless of vaccinated status are still required to wear a mask on enclosed Disney World transportation and at first aid locations.
Disneyland has some similar rules in place.
Of course, mask rules could change again in the future, so be sure to check back with us for more updates.

2 — Select Ticket Price Increases
This week we also shared some news about Disney World ticket prices. From what we’ve seen select multi-day tickets have now increased when it comes to starting price.
Additionally, it looks like priced out ticket ranges for dates in what remains of 2022 have also increased for select multi-day tickets. And from what we’ve seen it appears that several days on the calendar have been adjusted and that some dates are now in a higher price tier (meaning they are more expensive).
In other words, based on various factors, the Disney World park tickets for your 2022 trip could be more expensive than you might have anticipated.

3 — Food News
When it comes to food news we’ve got some exciting updates! First, over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jiko has finally reopened!
We tried a whole bunch of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks and we’ll be bringing you a FULL review soon!
For now you can click here to get a FIRST LOOK at this reopened spot!
Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Cape May Cafe is back to serving BUFFETS at breakfast and dinner. At the breakfast buffet you can munch on Minnie(!) waffles, potatoes, and much more.
During the dinner buffet you can enjoy a seafood boil with mussels, peel-and-eat shrimp, and a whole bunch of other items.
But be warned — the crab legs that many fans enjoyed from this spot are no longer on the buffet. Instead, you’ll have to pay separately per pound. Is the buffet worth it without the endless crab legs? See our full review below to find out!

4 — Disney Master Planned Communities?!
In random news this week, Disney shared that they are planning on building another master planned community (anyone getting Celebration vibes?!). Storyliving by Disney is a new project that’ll create new neighborhoods with Disney’s “special brand of magic.”
Some of these new communities will be restricted to those 55+. The communities will have special amenities like seminars, wellness programs, and more, for those with a special membership.
The first Storyliving community will be built in California and we can’t wait to hear all the updates as construction begins and ultimately is completed.

5 — More Big Updates
And finally we have some bigger updates that are a bit random so we wanted to group them in this general, miscellaneous category! We’ll do them a bit more rapid-fire!
First up, over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios a modified meet-and-greet with Mickey Mouse has returned!
Over at Disneyland, we got a confirmed date for the closure and reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown!
Back over at Disney World, we saw some GIANT crowds. Seriously, you’ve got to see these photos and videos to believe it.
And finally, Extended Evening Hours will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for one night soon. This perk will give Deluxe Resort and Deluxe Villas guests more time in the park at night after the park itself has closed. When this perk goes to Hollywood Studios, a number of rides will be open for hotel guests to enjoy including the fan-favorite Rise of the Resistance!
