If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, there are some great perks that you can take advantage of!
First of all, all resort guests get Early Theme Park Entry, where you can enter any Disney World theme park 30 minutes before it opens to regular guests. But if you’re staying at a Deluxe hotel, you can take that one step further with Extended Evening Hours — a perk that allows certain guests to stay late in the parks on specific dates. And this perk is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon!
Extended Evening Hours are only available on select nights at select parks, so there’s a schedule on the Disney World website that guests can check out. Up until now, these “bonus hours” have only been available at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but recently we noticed that they’d be offered at Hollywood Studios on April 13th.
And if you’re a Deluxe resort guest heading to Hollywood Studios that night, then you’ll want to know about all the offerings you can enjoy from 9PM-11PM, after the park is closed to the other guests. Disney World has now released the full list of attractions that will be open during that time. They are the following:
- Alien Swirling Saucers
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Muppet*Vision 3D
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- Toy Story Mania!
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Wow, that sounds like a great time! Even Rise of the Resistance is on the list, so no need to worry if you don’t get the chance to knock it out during the day. (It has a very long line, usually!) So far, just one date is listed for Extended Evening Hours at Hollywood Studios, but we’ll keep checking for more.
And remember that the Extended Evening Hours perk is exclusively for those staying at Deluxe Disney World Resorts and Deluxe Villas.

Sounds great, but only you can afford a deluxe hotel. Once again it shows thatDisney is only catering to the wealthier guest with perks and privileges while the average working class guest can’t afford leaving them out in the cold. Sad how Bob Chapek is slowing turning Disney parks in to an elitist private club that only the wealthy and super wealthy will be able to afford. Meanwhile, Disney pays their front line staff employees very little compared to upper management and executives.

How do they know you are a deluxe hotel guest when everyone else is supposed to leave? Do you have to display your gold and diamond Magic Band?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Rick, the Cast Members at the attractions will require you to scan your MagicBand.
Don says
Disney is so done with the riff raff, and by that I mean the working class.
Carmen says
How would that work with people who are still queuing? Or does WDW close the queues at certain times to avoid that happening? Or does it not have the guarantee of ‘if you’re in the queue, you’ll get to ride’?
(I know I’d love some extended evening hours at Paris!)
Chris Ellgass says
I thought this also included DVC guests as well. No?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Chris! DVC guests are included because all the villas are considered deluxe accommodations.
