If you’re visiting Disney World soon, there’s now one MORE thing to add to your to-do (or rather, to-see) list.
Little by little, more things have been reopening and returning to the parks. Parades are set to come back to Magic Kingdom soon, and Fantasmic! is set to reopen later this year. But today, another offering came back to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and this time it’s a bit different!
An updated stage show called Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire debuted TODAY in Magic Kingdom and we’re taking you along with us. Here’s what you need to know about this show before your next visit.
If you’re looking for Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, you’ll want to head to the Cinderella Castle Stage (the stage in front of the castle itself) during the available showtimes. The show will be performed multiple times a day. Show times can vary, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app or Disney website during your trip. On its opening date, showtimes were at 12:15PM, 1:30PM, 2:45PM, 4:35PM, and 6:10PM.
The show is very much the same as the previous stage show that was available (Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire), but it has received some updates and new enhancements, like a BRAND new, original song called Where the Magic Feels Like Home.
The show starts with a brand NEW opening that features Mickey Mouse and friends in their 50th Anniversary EARidescent outfits!
Then throughout the show you’ll see musical numbers and other pieces of the show performed by fan-favorite Disney characters and other performers in new outfits for the 50th.
There are scenes inspired by Tangled…
…where vikings come out to dance as well as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
And, we get to see Donald as a viking!!

Tiana, Naveen, AND Louis are there!
And, Louis even plays a trumpet solo!
We also get to see Goofy dancing with everyone!

He becomes the star of the show for a few moments thanks to his tambourine!
The characters from Frozen also make an appearance!
At the end of the show, Mickey and friends will join in with the other characters for a brand new version of the finale!
We get to see ALL of the characters interacting at once.
Then, we see fireworks to cap off the show!
If you’ve seriously missed castle stage shows, then you’ll likely love this one! It’s basically just a modified/enhanced version of the one that previously was here with some new character appearances!
It may be hard to remember what having a stage show in the park even feels like after it being gone for so long (though we did have some limited stage shows for things like the holidays). This stage show adds some more energy and movement to this general area throughout the day, which can be exciting!
BUT remember that the addition of the stage show means you may also find some more crowds congregated in front of the castle than you might have gotten used to over the past few months. It also means that the walkway through the castle will likely be closed at select times during the day to allow for the performances to happen. So be sure to keep that in mind as you make your way to Magic Kingdom.
If seeing this stage show is a MUST for you, mark it down in your calendars and check it out the next time you’re in the park!
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates all around Disney World and we’ll let you know what we find. Stay tuned for all the latest Disney news!

Hooray! It’s back! I just wish it had been during my vacation last November. I’m glad they didn’t change much, though an added bit might have been okay. I’m a bit shocked to see Old School Anna & Elsa given how complete Disney made their changes.

Hooray for the re-emergence of the castle show! It feels so good to see things being put back in place after so long without them. We are AP’s and locals, so we have been to the parks frequently since the reopening , and I can tell you Disney has made huge (if slow) strides since then.
