There’s a LOT to look forward to in Disney World this March! There’s the annual Flower and Garden Festival coming soon to EPCOT, the Festival of Fantasy parade, and the grand opening of the Star Wars hotel! Do you have plans to visit Disney World for any of these upcoming events?
If you’ve got a vacation to Disney World coming up during the first week of March, you might want to check out the weather forecast in Orlando. It’s been pretty warm in Central Florida, but things can change in the blink of an eye! Luckily, we’re back this week to take a look at next week’s weather forecast in Disney World!
Weather Forecast
It feels like February FLEW by — we can’t believe it’s almost March. Last week, the temperature reached a whopping 91°, with lows in the 60s (which isn’t very low at all!!). This week, it looks like more warm water is in store!
If the forecast is anything like it was last week in Disney World, we should be in for a GREAT week of weather. According to The Weather Channel, you can expect your days to be nice for the first week of March, with lows hovering around the 60s again next week.
February 28th
Monday, February 28th looks sunny and warm! The temperature will be close to 80° during the day, and it will go down to around 60° in the evening. That’s a pretty good way to start off the week!
We noticed that it looks like it might be a little windy throughout the day, so you might want to pack a lightweight jacket (maybe a zip-up hoodie?) just in case you get a little cold — especially indoors.
March 1st
On Tuesday, March 1st, the weather should be nice and warm! Based on the forecast, there’s a very low chance of precipitation, although it might be cloudy throughout the day!
As the week progresses, the chance of rain stays pretty low. You should still make sure to pack a poncho, umbrella, or rain jacket — in Central Florida, rain is almost always a possibility.
March 2nd
On Wednesday, March 2nd, the temperature looks almost identical to the day before! The high for the day is almost 81° and the low is 62°, which should make for a lovely and comfortable day in Disney World. We could get used to this kind of weather!
We also suggest that you take note of the humidity! On Wednesday, the humidity climbs from 58% to 79% throughout the day. The humidity can really make the air feel warmer (not to mention what it may do to your hair!!).
March 3rd
On Thursday, March 3rd, the temperature reaches 79°, with a 30%chance of rain. The low is 60°, with 60-70% (ish) humidity throughout the day. Look out for that wind; it’s predicted to come in at 10 to 15 mph, so pack a rain jacket.
On a rainy day, we suggest planning for lots of indoor activities. Take the time to sit down and eat in a nice restaurant, watch some indoor shows, or check out the gift shops!
March 4th
For Friday, March 4th, we’re expected to see the temperature reach 82°. Last week the weather was even warmer, but this week is still very comfortable! Some may argue that weather in the low 80s is the best kind of weather — and we tend to agree.
There’s a 17% chance of rain during the day, and there’s more partly cloudy weather predicted for Friday.
March 5th
By now, you probably know what to expect for the week. On Saturday, March 5th, there will be a high of 83° and a low of 62°. It might be a little windy again on Saturday, so keep that in mind when deciding what to wear.
Speaking of outfits, make sure to bring a few different pairs of shoes! With the nice weather we’re seeing, you might be tempted to wear sandals, but make sure your sandals are appropriate for walking long distances and standing.
March 6th
Finally, Sunday, March 6th ends the week with a high of 84° and a low of 62° at night. The forecast calls for sunny conditions, so pack some sunglasses!
This week’s forecast looks very nice — fingers crossed it stays like this!
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week courtesy of The Weather Channel. The temperature will range between 79-84° during the day, then drop to the low 60s at night. Keep in mind that the weather predictions can change, but for now, this overview should give you an idea of what to expect.
We checked a few other websites, like Click Orlando News 6…
…and WESH 2 News. It looks like everyone is reporting fairly similar forecasts.
Remember that Florida weather can change very quickly! Keep your eyes on the forecast so you know what to expect each day. And if it rains, don’t lose all hope; the rain can blow through pretty quickly.
How Should You Plan?
Now, let’s look at a few ways you prepare for the week ahead!
Pack a park bag!
Even if you travel light, having a small backpack or fanny pack can come in VERY handy in the parks! Toss a light jacket in your bag and maybe some trading pins; you’ll thank yourself later.
Don’t forget a portable charger for your phone! Trust us, you’ll need it.

Bring water!
Disney’s bottled water is ridiculously overpriced. Unless you don’t mind popping in and out of quick-service locations all day for free cups of water, we recommend bringing a case of bottled water. It’s cheaper, easier, and faster.
You can purchase a case of water from a local grocery store and have it delivered to your hotel, too!
