We have Disney’s 50th Anniversary to thank for a LOT of new treats around Disney World. Some of them were super bizarre (seriously, who approved that octopus drink?!) and others were just plain adorable. Back in 2021, we tried a Royal 50th Churro that had a LOT of colorful toppings, but it was extremely sweet — maybe a little too sweet. Over in Disneyland, we’ve tried some amazing churros, but for some reason, Disney World just can’t quite match that success! Could Disney World’s latest attempt at a new specialty churro change this?
Today, we’re about to find out! We found a churro over by the Cinderella Castle Hub on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disney World that piqued our interest. Don’t let us down, Disney!
It’s churro time! The new 50th Anniversary Main Street Churro is served at the refreshment cart next to the Cinderella Castle for $7.25. It looks pretty good, so let’s give it a try!

The Main Street Churro is a Disney churro rolled in cinnamon sugar, dipped in chocolate, drizzled in caramel sauce, and topped with crushed pretzels. If you’re not into all those toppings, you can get a plain churro with chocolate dip for $6.25 as a close substitute.
We’re going to level with you: this was pretty much just a basic Disney cinnamon sugar churro with some extra toppings. The churro itself was warm and fresh with the perfect crunchy-yet-chewy texture. Don’t expect anything groundbreaking with the chocolate sauce; it tasted like Hershey’s syrup (or something close to it) both in consistency and flavor. On the other hand, the caramel sauce was thick and gooey — just like we like our caramel!
Unfortunately, the pretzels tasted slightly stale (this happens a lot when Disney uses pretzels in its treats), and all those toppings will make your churro soggy pretty quickly. We will say, though, this churro is not nearly as sweet as the old 50th Anniversary churro (yay!!). The saltiness from the pretzel helped balance out the sweet toppings. Of course, we wish the chocolate sauce was made with real chocolate instead of that chocolate syrup, but overall, we enjoyed this new churro!
If you’re looking for a new treat next time you’re in Disney World, give the Main Street Churro a try! If you aren’t a fan of chocolate syrup, steer clear! We’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news (and snacks!) so stay tuned for more!
