Okay, so EPCOT has officially told us it’s spring (even though spring doesn’t technically start for a few more weeks!).
That’s because the EPCOT 2022 International Flower and Garden Festival has arrived with its beautiful topiaries, fun activities, and delicious food! Hey, if EPCOT says it’s spring, we say we’re ready (seriously, it’s been a LONG winter, y’all). But let’s talk about some food, shall we?
Right now we’re revisiting the Flavor Full Kitchen Hosted by AdventHealth for some drinks and snacks. Will the food live up to the booth’s name and be full of flavor?
Menu
Here’s a look at the menu. None of these menu items are new to the Festival this year, but some have moved around. For example, the Grilled Street Corn on the Cob was over at the Trowel & Trellis booth in 2021, but now it has moved to the Flavor Full Kitchen.
The Salmon, Strawberry Mousse, and other items were at Flavor Full Kitchen last year though. Are any of these items worth getting? Here are our thoughts.
Food
We simply could NOT turn down a chance to try the Grilled Street Corn this year! This dish is made of Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with a savory garlic spread, and it is priced at $5.75. This snack is on the Garden Graze Food Stroll, meaning it is one of the 5 qualifying snacks in that particular food challenge. If you get 5 dishes that are part of the Garden Graze, you’ll actually qualify to get a FREE prize!
We really liked this corn (we’re talking BEST of the Fest) when it was the Trowel at Trellis food booth last year. So we had high hopes coming into it this year, but sadly the reporter who tried it this year was left disappointed. Our reporter who tried it shared that they LOVE corn on the cob, and they just weren’t a big fan of this.
The corn is definitely very buttery and it had lots of garlic flavoring, but the seasoning was really chunky and a bit hard to eat. It felt a bit like biting into a dry seasoning mix with large pieces. For whatever reason, this year the seasoning just didn’t do it. It also didn’t blend well with the garlic butter.
We will say it certainly looks different than the version we had back in 2020.
This year, our corn also wasn’t very hot by the time we ate it. So we will put this disclaimer — it probably would have been a much better bite had we eaten it right away. We did like that the corn had that distinct smoky flavor — the type of thing that lets you know this was totally cooked on the grill.
Overall, the flavor of the seasoning itself was okay (though we do strangely think it could have used more salt), but the texture totally threw us off. There were some parts underneath where the seasoning really hadn’t been heavily sprinkled, and that was much better. Not terrible by any means, but sadly not as enjoyable as the ones we’ve had in the past (at least according to our reporter who tried the item this year!). Keep in mind that this has been one of our FAVORITE items in the past, so it could just be that our reporter who tried it this time around simply didn’t enjoy it due to their own personal tastes or didn’t get one that was “just right.” In other words, it might still be something you want to check out!
One of my FAV snacks returned to Flavor Full Kitchen this year! 🤩 Grilled Street Corn on the Cob 🌽 with savory garlic spread 😋 This is another item that’s part of the Garden Graze! pic.twitter.com/ZcOK4MozTn

The risotto, on the other hand, was a little bit dry and bland this year, which was such a shame! We did like the edamame in it though.
Overall, we think the salmon itself makes this dish worth getting because it was THAT good — seriously, this was a delicious piece of salmon! Just don’t necessarily expect to be “wowed” by the risotto. You can try it for yourself for $6.25.
For the perfect finale, there’s the Strawberry Mousse with chocolate-crisp pearls. This dessert is unique in that it is a Strawberry mousse with…gummy worms?? But just how does it taste? We’ve had this item in the past and have found the mousse to be a little bland, although we have liked the crispy texture the pearls added. This year we got it again (by accident, actually! We were given the wrong item initially, but hey — gives us another chance to give this one a go!).
We thought this dish was actually pretty fun. Our reporter who ate this loves gummy worms, so they ate those first (naturally!). The mousse itself is another one of those fruity mousse desserts that Disney likes to do, so there’s nothing really “shocking” there. It also had a bit of those cookie crumbles on the side mixed with fresh strawberries.
On the inside you’ll find those chocolate candy crispies, which offer a nice texture change. We think this is one that kids would probably really enjoy, particularly because of the bright colors and sweet flavors. Adults might not really care for it though. To be honest, our favorite parts were really the fresh strawberries and chocolate crumbs.
You can try it for yourself for $4.75.
Drinks
Next, we move to the drinks. The Blood Orange Agua Fresca has returned this year, and we aren’t mad about it. It’s a refreshing and sweet non-alcoholic drink, which you can try for $4.50.
You can grab another returning non-alcoholic drink here too — the Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt. This one is priced at $4.75. The look alone is sure to make your kiddos smile! But just how does it taste? Well, basically (to us at least) it tasted just like an Oreo milkshake! It was extremely sweet, so those looking for a drink that isn’t too sweet will want to beware!
You can really taste the cookie butter in it and it’s RICH! There are also some big chunks of Oreo sandwich cookies, which offered a nice texture change and some great flavor.
We will say that the gummy worms got very hard because the drink itself is served so cold. We weren’t really a fan of how hard those gummy worms got, so just be aware of that.
Overall, we think it’s something that might be too sweet for many adults (unless you’ve got a serious sweet tooth), but it’s something we have a feeling kids will probably LOVE!
Overall
Overall, if you’re looking for some DELICIOUS salmon, this is the booth to go to. Unfortunately, the chunky texture of the seasoning on the corn wasn’t our jam this year. We do think the mousse dessert and the worms and dirt drink are likely fun for kids and those with a serious sweet tooth, but perhaps not for many others.

Frank says
I visited yesterday, 3/27/2022, and the seasoning on the corn was EXACTLY like it was in 2020. So I’m thinking that when your reporter / writer visited, someone made it a little differently. Not only did ours look identical to yours, but the flavors and seasoning were superb. I was left with a super-strong desire to duplicate this at home on my wood-fired backyard fire pit grill.
The salmon was superb – exactly as you described – truly memorable and super tasty.
The strawberry mousse made us want to sell our home and live forever right there in Epcot – if it were possible. The flavor of the mousse was solid, and it was not too sweet. While it was a warm day, ours did not melt as shown in your photo. It was so good, in fact, that at the end of the night around 9 pm we ran back to get two more servings. Again, we wanted the recipe so we could make this at home.
Cheers!
