You’ve been planning this Disney World trip for MONTHS. It definitely wasn’t a cheap vacation, and you want to make the most of every minute. But now someone in your group is feeling sick! Is your only option to wait in an Urgent Care room for hours?
No one likes to get sick while they’re on vacation, and it can be a pain in more ways than one. But now there’s a NEW solution if you or someone in your group is feeling ill during your Disney or Universal trip!
The recently launched Doctor2me program is a house call service that brings a doctor directly to you. It makes medical treatment much faster and easier to handle than an hours-long wait at the ER or Urgent Care center. And now it’s available at Disneyland, Disney World, and Universal Studios Hollywood hotels!
Doctor2me can bring a physician to your Disneyland, Disney World, or Universal Hollywood hotel room, and they’re also able to visit most of the surrounding hotels that aren’t owned by these parks. Specific kinds of doctors — such as pediatricians, OB/GYNs, orthopedists, neurologists, and other specialists — are available in addition to normal physicians.
Some of the illnesses that can be diagnosed and treated with this program include COVID, bronchitis, the flu, asthma, ear infections, fever, food poisoning, and more. Injuries like sprains, cuts, back pain, and more can also be treated through Doctor2me appointments.
If you find yourself or others in your group in need of medical treatment while you’re staying at one of these hotels, you can head to the Doctor2me website to request a visit. Appointments are available 24/7. Once you’re on the site, click on the “Get Care” button.
From there, you’ll input your location…
…and provide additional information about the patient and symptoms.
The doctor will come directly to your hotel room, which takes away some of the stress of finding an urgent care center in an unfamiliar area. Some follow-up services (like x-rays, blood work, prescriptions, and more) are available too and can be sent after the initial appointment. Telehealth visits are also available in California if you don’t want the doctor to come in person.
The cost will of course depend on the treatment required, but an example of the price for a visit is $150 for a TeleHealth call or $175 for an in-person appointment. Many insurance plans cover these visits, but check with your provider for more details about the cost.
Doctor2me could be a great tool if you need medical treatment during your upcoming vacation. Remember that there are also First Aid stations in the parks if you need treatment immediately while you’re there, and you should call 911 in the case of a medical emergency.

I was just there last week with my son and his throat started hurting and had a white patch on it we were able to call telehealth and a doctor was able to have a video call and all it cost me was $10. They even prescribed antibiotics and I had them sent straight to the room. It was so easy and awesome
