If you’re going to Disney World anytime soon, there’s one hot topic that you NEED to know about…Disney Genie+!
The new offering in the theme parks is a paid system ($15 per person, per day) that allows guests to skip the standby lines for certain rides and attractions, walking instead through the faster-moving Lightning Lanes. Ever since the system was introduced back in October, we’ve seen several changes, and now two more attractions got added to the list!
The Festival of Fantasy Parade just recently returned to Magic Kingdom, and just a few days later, it has joined the ranks of Disney Genie+ attractions! How does it work? Well, first you’ll need to secure a Genie+ reservation in the My Disney Experience app for the parade.
Once you do that, you’ll be given a return window for one of the parade showings. Once it’s time to come back, report to the castle hub, directly in front of the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse (The Partners statue). Here, you’ll find a roped-off area for parade viewing!
Once you scan in with the Cast Members manning the roped-off area, you can step inside and claim your spot to watch the parade. You’ll get a great view with the castle directly in the background!

And over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, another character meet was added to the list! If you’re interested in meeting Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams, you can make a Genie+ reservation to stop by during your visit.
Once you head inside the meet and greet entrance, the queue splits into two lines — one for standby and one for the Lightning Lane. Make sure you get in the correct one!

So if you use a genie+ reservation for the parade, how does that affect your other reservations? Do you need to make that one first thing, then wait the 120 minutes after opening to make the second one? More info, please and thank you!
